Since all of the Value resorts are fairly close in price, which one do you recommend for 2 adults?

I just spent a week at Pop Century. The newly refurbished rooms were nice. I’ve never stayed at the All Stars.

My son and I have stayed in Sports and it was fine. I don't think we would stay there all week but for one or two nights, it was o.k. The new refurb rooms at Pop Century are nice but if you need two beds, one of them is a murphy bed so that's something to keep in mind. They do run more than the All Stars.

As a adults we've stayed at POP, Sports & Movies all were fine for us. The giant icons are at all of them so you can't really avoid that as some will say it's kiddie like. We don't spend much time at the resort or using the pools. We do always request top floor to hopefully be quieter. Pop's refurbed rooms do look more modern so there's that although all-stars will be starting refurbs. I don't know, I would go with whichever you prefer for themeing I guess. Dedicated Pop buses is nice and being able to walk to AOA for dinner around the lake are benefits over All-Stars.

For me, POP would be the way to go. You have AoA right across the bridge, and can request whatever section you want (for example, look at the map/get feedback about finding a quieter building). All-Stars need their updates pretty badly, so for now I would always prefer POP.

Me and dh have stayed in all star sports 3 times and are staying again this year. We don't spend much time in the room so the all stars suit us well. All the rooms are fairly close to the lobby and food court and if you're getting a bus the sports is the first of the three resorts to be picked up.

I've stayed at Sports, Music, and Pop and I like Sports the best. I like that the All Star resorts are each way smaller than Pop. And I liked the food court at Sports better.

Have stayed in them all and hands down POP :thumbsup2

I'd choose Pop over AOfA and the All Stars.

Lots of fun and nostalgia at Pop for 2 adults. Check out the shadow boxes in the lobby and walking around the grounds reading the trivia from each decade is cool too. :goodvibes

Just came back from a 9 night stay at POP; just my husband and I. It was our first time at a value (we have stayed at POFQ and Coronado Springs in the past). We really enjoyed our stay. The refurbished rooms are great, and since the we didn't need/use the murphy bed we really liked that extra space in the room. The food court was good and we had good luck with the busses. Do I miss the extra amenities of the moderates (nicer pool, hot tub, indoor bar/entertainment, theming)? Yes, but with the prices double of what we paid this time at POP, I didn't miss them that much! I won't hesitate to stay at POP again. I just worry that, with the new skyliner, POP and AOA are no longer going to be value resorts.

I've stayed at Music and Pop and am staying at Sports for my upcoming trip.

For now, for me it'll be All Stars if I'm going value - at least until they get the Hospital Room make-over that Pop is getting. Then I'll be a solidly Moderate or save up for Deluxe girl.

We've stayed many times at the All Stars and one in a renovated room at Pop in the last year. We use the value resorts as our go-to for college visits. The renovated rooms at the Pop are so much better than the All Stars now--they're almost like a moderate resort. Every element in the room that I can think of is an improvement from the All Stars, especially the beds. The murphy bed is actually a wonderfully comfortable new queen mattress. It is identical to the other mattress in the Pop room, and both are on platforms. You can store things underneath if you choose to leave the murphy bed down. I cannot stress how much better the beds are in the Pop now in comparison to the All Stars. It's not even close. Now the rest of the resort amenities are fairly comparable to us. Daytime is so much more pleasant after a better night's sleep!

The word is out, though. It is much harder to find availability at the Pop now.

We stayed at Pop two times. This past June 2017 we stayed at All Star Music with a discount code as a last minute trip. We have an older teen son and Music was great in mid June. We stayed in Bldg 7 on the back side. quiet and clean. It was great location to check out Pandora in AK. We had no issues with buses. They were constant(even sometimes one was waiting for guests to board). Cast members were all friendly. Food court was bright clean updated and dining items excellent. If you are there for the parks, the values are the way to go!. We are planning on Movies for next June 2019.

I have tried to book a roll-in shower room at Pop with the queen bed and the pull down bed. I called on Saturday and again on Monday (today). Both Disney reservation people told me that Pop does not have a roll-in shower with 2 beds in the room. They said they have a King only.

Others have posted on the boards that they have stayed in the new rooms at Pop, did not ask for a shower, but received one when they stayed there (in the last 3 months, in a newly refurbished room).

I realize that reservation people cannot give me something that does not exist on their computers, but how did others already stay in that type of room?

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There are two bed refurbished rooms with a shower stall instead of a tub, but it is not a roll in shower. The accessible roll in shower rooms have one king bed only because the bathroom is larger and there isn’t room for two beds. I know I have seen photos of the shower stalls, but I don’t recall where. Maybe in the Pop renovation thread?

I would prefer Pop (although I'm staying with youngest at All Star Sports next trip; Pop got rid of the type of handicapped room we wanted and Sports had it luckily)

The new rooms with queen beds look nice, and the food court is larger with more selections to choose from. I normally avoid the food court in the mornings (not a breakfast eater), but at night we often would get something to take back to the room for dinner or a snack. That's the only thing I'm not fond of at Sports; the food court got old last trip, but we would find something okay to eat. I think my kid got a flatbread like 4 times...

We're 2 adults and we always stays at value hotels.
We usually stay at one of the 3 All Stars!
We love them all, but considering I'm a child in a grown man's body, I prefer the Movies.
but if you really like sports, consider All Star Sports cause they're incredible for those who loves Sports.
We stayed there with an adult friend in 2015 and he's crazy about sports, he loved so much!
