I know this is a personal choice, but I need help making that choice! We just booked a decent ding rate flight for August. :yay: We'll be staying 11 nights and will be getting the dining plan also. We have a price of $2962 at the values, for 11 nights lodging, dining plan and 9 day hoppers. Same package at the Coronado, or Port Orleans is $3392. I'm leaning towards to POFQ - is it worth the extra cost? This will be our 4th trip, stayed at the AS Music, AS Movies and CBR - not impressed with the CBR for the extra money, but this time since it's a longer visit and our 4th trip, maybe we'll be spending more time at the resort....

Would appreciate any and all opinions to help make our decision!

what about Pop Century? We've stayed at all 4 value resorts and Pop is our favorite.

I have stayed at three of the values and didn't like anyone except Pop century , I just stayed there in april and really enjoyed it. I have stayed at the mod and deluxe. we are staying at POR in sept because we have five and i love this resort as well. It you are going to be at the parks alot and don't care about a fridge i would say at at pop ,if you will be spending alot of time at the resort go with the mod.

For 11 nights I would probably go with a Mod. DH and I have stayed at CSR and loved it. The mods offer more to do at the actual resort if you plan on spending more time there, of course many of those things also have an additional fee. If money isn't too much of an issue I would choose the Mod; however, POFQ does not have a lot of the extras that the mods are known for. You actually have to go to POR to have access to a large themed pool and sit down restaurant. The grounds are nicer than the values, but I don't think that particular resort is worth the extra money.

I would stay at the Mods its not that much more and there is a fridge in the room if needed plus you may spend more time there wince you are there for 11 days.

DD and I stayed @ POFQ last Feb....it is a lovely resort area....the grounds are beautiful and the room appointments are that of a deluxe room. You get a lot for your $$$ at POFQ. They have a lovely themed pool....with a slide and all...and a very nice hot-tub. The POR has a good restaurant where the POFQ has a CS. POFQ really reminds me of the nicer areas of the french-quarter in New Orleans....very nice....also, a smaller resort and easier to get to the different areas/bus-stops and parking. CBR is larger, sprawling...and lacks ambience IMO....the rooms are nice, colorful etc...but "lack-luster"
....We  POFQ....and would have really loved to have been able to have gotten in this September...but, weren't able to......:confused3
.....But, we'll get to experience CSR.....:cheer2:

CSR! Best food, pool and transportation! :thumbsup2 Check out my CSR website below.

Hey Buzz! We are neighbors, sending you a private note. Great pictures!! I was just thinking of CSR.

Thanks everyone for your opinions, still not 100 % decided so feel free to add.

POFQ does have its own large pool. It doesn't have a quiet pool. The good thing about POFQ is you can pool hop to POR to a quiet pool, if you choose to. I also like the ability to use the boat to DTD. Something both PO's have. They also have night time entertainment. POFQ also has it's own bus stop at MK in the evening. Translation: wait time is minimal to board since you only have to share with 7 buildings. Also, there is a Jester cruise available for children too.

I've stayed at both CSR and POFQ, I really don't care for CSR. It's just too big for me. They also don't have double sinks, which makes it a bit difficult for 2 people to get ready in the morning. While POFQ lacks a TS, to me that's no big deal. I have so many favorite places that adding another one might be difficult.

If you choose CSR, remember room selection there can make or break your stay.

Hi, I am guessing it is a family of 4? I have stayed at ASMovies and CBR. We did like CBR but just spent the day at the pool, we got there a day early and stayed there before checking into our timeshare. I think for that length of time I would look into POFQ....or any moderate resort, the rooms are bigger and the area outside the bathroom has a curtain you can pull so if others are still sleeping you will not wake them. Have a great trip! Waiting for my next one!!!

Can you please give us more information? How many in your party? Ages? Do you plan to do parks all day, every day? How much swimming do you plan to do? RSVP.

I have been fortunate to stay at all levels of Disney resorts (but not all the resorts;) ) and I still think the Mods give you the best bang for the buck. I didn't care for the Values at all. I tried, I really tried, but the theming is just too over the top for me and the room was like a Motel 6 - albeit a very, very clean one. For only $430. for 11 nights - it's a no brainer.:goodvibes

I'm jealous . . . I would love to be at Disney for 11 WHOLE DAYS!!!

I will cast my vote for...

POFQ! :)

PS: Rlduvall, I don't like the Values for the same reason. The themes and colors are just too bold for my taste. :scared1:

Thanks everyone....there are four of us, kids are 7 and 9. Not 100% sure, we are thinking we'll do the parks in the morning and come back in the afternoon to swim/rest and then go back early evening. We'll most likely rent a car as we like the freedom of having the car and we like to eat at the other resorts, etc. We will be there 10 full days, leaving around 5 pm on the 11th day. So yes, we'll be going to the park almost every day (9 day hopper)

CSR would be my choice! Great food, pool and transportation!:thumbsup2

if you can afford it without breaking the bank. For that length of stay you will be so happy that you have the extra space. We have stayed at values and they are ok when we are being "weekend commandos" but honestly for a longer stay the mods have my vote . Personally, the food courts at the values are too crazy for me, and so are the overall resorts. AFter staying at the cabins at the Fort we decided we liked the room and now are DVC members. Talk about spoiled!

This August we will be staying at CSR and I can't wait. DH has a conference with work so I will have the days to myself to lounge and enjoy the pool and shopping etc.
