We'll be staying at the WL for 2 nights before moving over to the BCV. I know that as DVC members, we get Free Valet Parking at DVC resorts, but can we valet park for free at the WL if we're not staying in the Villas?

We did when we stayed at WL last week. Just show your DVC card and be sure to tip the attendant.

Thanks! I planned on tipping the attendant, I just didn't want to look like an idiot, or put them in the awkward position of having to tell me that I owed them more money. :)

Just wanted to say, "Hi y'all!" from Auburn. We just got back from BWV last week. I don't think the valet attendants are crazy about the pay-for-valet thing because I didn't see them checking or even bothering to ask. We are DVC members, but they didn't ask us or anything, just assumed and gave us the free parking. They, of course, got very good tips, especially after helping one member of our party with a flat tire and a not-so-good jack. Gotta love Disney CMs.

They know by your member parking permit in the window. I did have one ask me if I was a member when we stayed at BWV last December. I was happy with the valet service last December, they were always quick. We called from our room and by time we got to the lobby it was there 2 of the 3 times, the other time it was just being pulled up (granted, our room was down near the fountain so it was a long walk). When we dropped off, they came up quick to take it. I don't mind tipping when they do a good job.

As a side note ... If you have a handicapped parking permit, then valet parking anywhere at WDW is complimentary. We always tip when we drop off the car & when we pick it up.

Refer to the thread "another tipping question" reply 8.

If you rented someone's points do you still get the free valet parking? Should I show my confirmation when I drive up?

I have been to WL to eat when driving thru on a business trip. Just presented our DVC card at the gate and to valet park. Only needed a tip for the valet.
A guest can show the reservation form to the valet at check-in, but the auditor who posts the guest bill should note that the bill is for a guest staying on points. There should not be a problem for a guest to valet park.
