Yes.

Valet parking is free to DVC members only at the DVC resorts....Beach Club (but not YC), BW, etc.

No, not yet.

AKL is not YET a DVC resort, since those rooms have not yet opened (Sept 1st is "the day" from what we've been told). The free valet "perk" is only available at DVC resorts, so.....

Once AKV opens then, yes, free valet will likely be offered to DVC members.

I don't think VB has valet parking at all, paid or not.

As others have said, "not yet". In the meantime, if you have a DDE card and are dining at AKL you can get free valet parking.

Usually we have been given a tag that says we have valet parked at BCV and then we go to the CR or Poly or AKL for a visit or dinner and valet park for no cost. This has been my experience for the last 3 years.

TECHNICALLY, I don't think you're supposed to do that. Or rather, the valets aren't.

The valets, from my understanding, aren't supposed to give out the "valet park" designated tags to "free" DVC valet parkers.

However, from what's been reported here at the DIS, it looks like your experience is not at all unusual.

It is listed on the member site and only includes DVC resorts. In the past some valet attendants would give a member a valet hang tag but that is not the case anymore.

That tag is for those who paid for valet parking to ensure they are not required to pay again during the same day. Sometimes they may give a DVC member a tag, but it is not part of the perk we are entitled to as far as I know.

For Valet Parking: $2 when your car is delivered, more if they assist further with luggage, groceries, wheelchair, etc. Consider increasing the tip in bad weather. The recognized standard is tipping only upon delivery of the vehicle.

Okay, thanks! I guess we'll just use the DDE card for the free valet parking when we go to the Poly for dinner in May.

That's great, the whole tipping thing makes me feel slightly uncofortable as it's not standard practice in the UK, so when in the US, we never when to do it! Thanks
