Okay... I need suggestions for a valentine's gift for my boyfriend! We are not in the same city right now, so it has to be something I can ship to him (so, not huge), or have shipped from somewhere online.

We've been dating for about 6 months, and we haven't talked about Valentine's so I'm not sure if we're exchanging gifts or what, but I figure I should get him a little something. So I don't think I'll be interested in anything really expensive or extravagant (since I don't know what he's getting me, if anything!) - more of a "thinking of you" gift.

I'm stumped... any good suggestions? Or websites? Ladies, what are you getting your significant others for V-day?

Post away... I need ideas!!! :lovestruc

Edited to add: BF is mid-30s, likes sports and geeky, techy stuff.

We don't celebrate anymore, but one of the "favorite" V-Day gifts of years past was when I gave DH a "manly" scented massage lotion from The Body Shop with two wooden roller massagers, and the promise of a good back massage.

You can't go wrong with DVD/Blu-Ray.

What about an electric blanket? I love those.. or if it's appropriate for your relationship, what about a boudior photoshoot? I have a friend who did one of these for her boyfriend who was in a different state for work for a few months.. I assume he appreciated it!

Check out thinkgeek.com. They have lots of cool things

I'mn getting dh a book and some dark chocolate.

Thinkgeek.com is a great place for techies. Or you could just do a nice card, chocolates and a gift card. We haven't done VDay in a long time but this year I'm surprising DH with an iPad.:)

ThinkGeek! That was the website I was thinking of. Looks like nothing there will come in time for V-Day.

Hmm... maybe a nice card and some kind of food. I wonder how homemade fudge or candy would travel?

I order BF personalized m&ms every year from the m&m website. They usually have free ship deals this time of year. Usually I do a funny photo on the candy but you can also do a generic valentine's day mix. Depending on how much you spend, you can even buy a gumball type dispenser for them (59.99) that comes with candy.

The best way to my man's heart is through his stomach.

A nice dinner and a delicious dessert.

Works every time.:lovestruc

itunes gift card tucked into a nice box of See's or Ghiradelli chocolates.

We're boycotting Valentine's this year. I was HORRIFIED to see red stuff out the day after Christmas and felt it was getting out of hand and thought I was being pick-pocketed.

However, I love Valentine's day so NO gifts and no fancy dinner but we are meeting at work for lunch. And NO cards.

How did you feel seeing Christmas stuff out before Halloween was even over? :lmao: That's how it was here...every year it gets earlier and earlier for every holiday. :)

OP I got DBF some of his favorite candy (Fun Dip & Molasses Chips from See's) and a couple of cards, that's it for this year. Nothing extravagant here. :)
