Reminds me of my mum and I when I was growing up and living at home.

We usually give each other cards and little pressies. We haven't went out on Valentines Night for a long time. We much prefer to go out at the weekend before or after.

It's even worse when it's your wife saying who sent you that :rolleyes1

I got a card with a hand drawn picture of a strawberry dipped in chocolate in it. I had no idea who it was from but I had a major grilling from the SS over it.

The next evening our hairdress and her mum ( known the msince we there at school) came round to cut our hair and stay for a curry.

She brought the pudding and it was strawberries dipped in chocolate Didn't take toooooooo long for the penny to drop.:rotfl2: all round.

My mum did exactly the same

Gavins birthday is on Feb 15th so before we were house owners we would always have a double celebration and go away for the weekend nearest to the 14th & 15th but this year we are moving a couple of weeks after so a card will probably be our max.

:yay:

I never received any valentine cards when I was younger so HATED it! the only cards I've ever recevied have been from my husband.

When I was younger there were 6 of us and there would always be 5 cards on the sideboard. My brothers had great pleasure in asking "who is the poor person who hasn't got one - how embarassing!" :lmao: I still get teased now and I'm 40!

Still my hubby always sends me 2 so I'm catching up!

I always got a "secret" card from my Dad and now my DD's get one from my DH too, although they haven't realised yet who it's from!!!

Vicki - :lmao:
Tony - in your dreams! ;)
Sian - where will your Mum be? Matt and I don't bother with Valentine's Day cards. What's the point when you know who it's from and that you hate...oops, I mean, love...one another, anyway. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Sian - where will your Mum be?

Blimey, Deb, that Alzheimers is really kicking in now - we're gonna be in Disney World you forgetful old woman (I reckon Gary should be REALLY worried about hitting 40 now if this is what happens to you ;) )

Sian, they still have phones in Orlando sweetheart - just cos I'm not there in person doesn't mean I can't ask. And I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa will be just as interested as me :rotfl:

I'm hoping i get at least 2 cards on valentines day.Though i won't be holding my breath. It's my wedding anniversary on Valentines day.:)

It's my birthday on the 13th so we usually combine the two. In 2003 DH took me to NY for my birthday and then we went to see Mamma Mia! on Broadway for the 14th, ahhhhh what a great holiday that was

Claire ;)
