So what are your plans for the big day then, have you booked a special romantic meal? are you buying something nice for your other half? and what are you hoping to get yourself?

Let us know your special plans  :lovestruc :lovestruc

I'm going to the Dentist :goodvibes We don't usually bother going out on the night and have a take-away instead and go out for our Valentine's dinner on the weekend. We will exchange cards and little pressies.

We aren't doing anything on Valentine's Day but we're going out for lunch on the Monday as it's DH' birthday. We are going to Pizzarelly's in Lisburn - their food is lush :) Haven't bought DH a pressie - just a card. We're saving up for WDW so decided not to bother with gifts this year - plus, we have far too many birthdays around this time ;)

We aren't doing a lot. I'm off work that week but DH isn't, he's off the following week. I guess I'll cook a nice meal at home.

Won't be as good as last year, DH took me on a surprise trip to Paris and we had dinner on the Bateaux Mouche on the river Seine!

We never do anything for Valentines Day - it used to be such a big deal when I was a teenager, y'know, you couldn't go to school if you hadn't received a Valentines Day card - LOL :lmao:

I ordered DF some some muffins to be delivered at work which come with a card, this should prompt DF into buy something for me on his way home from work

Last year he bought me an engagement ring so I cant complain!

Wondered why Julie always gives me a funny look when I buy her Red Roses for 'Shrove Tuesday' :)

Ah! Sue I expect my plans mirror yours somewhat ;)
i.e. spend all morning gazing longingly at the letterbox and getting all excited when a TON of mail drops through, aaahhh!! 3 credit card offers, the electricity bill and a load of car insurance offers.

what fun

we seem to be saving for WDW all the time

As long as he remberes thats the big one

We never buy each other presents for Valentine's, we just go out for a meal instead. This year we're going to a two Michelin star restaurant in Cambridge, since we'll be there for our IVF treatment. We're not sure exactly what day everything is happening yet, so in theory it's possible we might "conceive" on Valentine's...

Spot on Carol :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We don't really do anything much.

We might just cook a meal or something, and exchange cards, but not pressies.

Last year I baked DH some heart shaped choc chip cookies and I wrapped them the same way we wrapped our favours at our wedding so they would remind him of our wedding day.

I always hope for red roses but none so far!

I will be working away in London as per usual, eating with a colleague in the West end, whilst Mandy is at home with the kids. :)

As St Valentines is now just another Cash Cow :confused3, we will do what we always do, and go out the weekend after when it is our anniversary. :thumbsup2

Besides, I don`t need some over commercialised "Special Day" to let Mandy know how I feel, she knows that every day of the year!!!

That said, I am sure a dozen or 2 of Red Roses will arrive for Mandy on the day, just to keep my "mates" safe in their little "bag" ;)

We exchange little pressies and cards, and usually get a takeaway. This year DH has booked me in for a spa parrafin wax treatment for my hands too, which is really sweet as I have been complaining about how cracked and sore they are.

Have a great day, everyone, whether you are doing anything or not. And, Mandy, I didn't get my first valentines card until I was 16...but my mum still made me go to school!! :rotfl2:

i haven't celebrated Valentines Day since elementary school...
i'm not big on Hallmark Card holidays....i don't bother with valentines, mothers, fathers or anything like that....

we do special things every day of the year, no need of a commercial day....
