Valentine's Day/Birthday Celebration. Our suprise one day adventure

Birthday Girl was asked what ride she wanted to do more than any other and it was no surprise when she came up with Big Thunder Mountain. Grammy and S went off to get fast passes while I took T and L to check out where Belle does her storytime. We were a bit early and the CM assured us we had time for a ride or two so we hopped in line for the Mad Tea Party. This was huge as T had not liked spinny rides up till now. While we were waiting we realized that Alice herself was riding with a family. Lucky them!
Here are a few shots of L and T on the cups. Notice the nervous smile on T's face?

Now she is getting a bit more comfortable

And hey! This is fun!!!!

At least, I think it's fun

We finished the ride and saw Alice was signing autographs. The line wasn't long so we hopped in. And then who do we see rushing to join Alice? Why someone who is always late!

How lucky to get to meet Alice and the White Rabbit! S was calling frantically on her cell phone trying to find us. It appears that giving your location as being "right in front of the Mad Tea Party" was not clear enough for her. I was anxious that she was going to miss meeting Alice but she arrived just in time.
Alice was wonderful. She saw T approching in her Belle costume and immediatly curtsied because after all that is what you do to a princess. The precious part was when T curtsied back (which of course I missed that part in the picture taking).

Where to next? Stay tuned to see!

Haha, the narration on the teacup picture captions is so cute!

That's great that you were able to meet the White Rabbit too! He's definitely an interesting character to take a picture with.

We were pretty lucky! Now it off to Storytime with Belle!

Storytime with Belle was something we had never done at WDW before. The last time we were here T was just shy of 3 and was not into her princess obsession stage. Now she is four and she lives and breaths all thing princess (including believing she really is one). Her favorite princess is Belle so of course this was a must do.
For those who haven't gone..this is a great low key way to spend about 20 minutes or so. Belle with the help of some children (and one good natured dad) retells her story. The children are picked out of the audience so perhaps you will get lucky! T did not get picked but didn't seem to mind at all. Here are some pictures from it.

Remember that she needs a good natured dad? Well here he is..no longer a beast but a handsome prince.

I highly recommend this for the Princess obsessed crowd (and their accommodating parents) Not only is it sweet and just the right length but it is in a shady spot right near the Mad Tea Party. It is nice place to relax and take a break from all the hustle and bustle. We arrived a moment after it began (the line for Alice took a bit longer than we thought) and had no trouble finding a spot to rest.
At the end the children are told that Belle will stay for a meet and greet for a short time. A line quickly formed. We jumped in and patiently waited our turn. Belle made a big deal out of T's dress. She told her she had one just like it and was going to wear it in this afternoon's parade. She promised to look for T and wave to her. Luckily T didn't remember this since I had no intention of going to the parade! She also asked her if her sisters were her servants. T said no but I must say that it was pretty accurate. T does manage to get her sisters to do everything for her.

Coming up next: Another surprise for the birthday girl!

So where were we? Ahh, yes! Another suprise for the birthday girl. Uncle D is also S's Godfather. He has never been able to spend her birthday with her. So this year he wan't going to let a three hour drive stand in his way! So when we left Belle's Storytime, S was very very happy to see Uncles G and D waiting for her. Here is a picture of the b-day girl with Uncle D

And all of the girls with Uncles D and G!

I think if there's time, I would love to see the Storytime with Belle. She's my favorite princess, and I love that she's in the blue dress instead of the yellow one.

Aww, the picture of S with Uncle D is so cute! Love her smile in that one; she just looks content.

It was a pretty great day! We are in MA and experienced the terrible rain and therefore flooded basement this last few days. I promise to post more and continue my report tomorrow!

So now we were all together. It was time for Big Thunder Mountain! My DD loves this ride! Grammy didn't want to go so Uncle D, S, L and me headed off. T stayed with Grammy and Uncle G to get something to eat. Sadly I didn't even think to take a picture. Crazy I know.
After our fun we headed back to join with the rest of the gang. We grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz as the line was outrageous (50 min). What to do now? Why jump on the People Mover of course! Paging Tom Morrow.

Here is a shot from The Transit Authority

Next the girls find what they were wishing with all their hearts to find. This was a favorite from our last trip. I was sure that we wouldn't see it but we did and it was more than last time.

Any guesses?

Ok im in but i have to ask what or who do we spy in that picture???

Welcome! I confess I thought I managed to get the Mayor in the right there but now that I look closely he doesn't have his mayor sash on. So help me out people? Is that the Mayor? If not then who is that man in a top hat and tails?

Any guesses on my recent question?

No guesses yet?
Ok, I'll spill. On our last trip we were greeted by the famous Push, the talking trash can. He commented on liking T's pink crocs and she has never ever forgotten. We will be driving down the road and suddenly she will say "Remember when that trash can said he liked my shoes?" and start laughing. Considering she wasn't even three yet when this happened..well it must have left an impression.
So after the Transit Authority T had to go potty. So L and S stayed with the group and I ran T to the nearest potty. We came out and my phone rang. It was a text from S saying "We are talking to Push!" Push! We need to find him! So we ran around like chickens with no heads trying to reconnect with the rest of the group. We finally found them at the backside of Stitch's Great Escape. He was singing Happy Birthday to S! Afterwards she got a text from her cousin and he said "Who's that..your boyfriend?" I don't think I have seen S turned more shades of red. T ran up to him when we finally found them and he immediatly started singing the theme to Beauty and the Beast (remember she was wearing her Belle dress). I wasn't thinking quick enough to take video but got lots of pictures.

Last they were asked by Push to walk him to his door. They were allowed to open it and push him in!
They had a blast!

Haha, what a cute comment about the trash can liking the shoes! Only in Disney does that sentence make complete sense! And what a memory to get that special one-on-one time of walking him to the door!

I know! I will say that seeing and interacting with Push made the day even more special.

So now was time for a quick bite to eat. Then we went our separate ways. Last time we were at WDW my middle DD L balked just as we were about to load at Haunted Mansion. I talked her on to it and she cried the whole time and was shaking scared. I felt like the world's biggest loser of a mom. So when Uncle G and D said they wanted to do the Haunted Mansion I sent S and Grammy with them. L and T wanted to do the Speedway. As usual the line was long. We jumped in and T immediatly made a little friend to play peek a boo, copy cat and all sorts of other games with which made the time fly.
Here they are waiting in line

We got up to the cars and T and L were thrilled to find out that they could ride together! I felt a bit silly driving in a car by myself but I wanted to go on the Speedway too! T did the steering and L was in charge of the gas pedal. Heaven help me when they get to driving age. T did fine on the straight aways but was all over the place on the curves. L kept the speed at Old Lady level. We all made it back fine though and the girls had a blast!

We met back up with the Haunted Mansion gang and what ride did everyone want to do but Alice's Tea Party again! Uncle D and G, Grammy and S had missed it earlier in the day. The line was pretty short (unusual for that day) so on we went. We opted for a slower tea cup and Uncle D took L and S on a spinning ride that should have made even the strongest stomach queasy.

Sorry this is a bit dark

I remember loving the Speedway as a kid! As I got older, I realized that it's nearly impossible to drive them correctly! Now that I drive a real car, the excitement is gone, but because I remember the anticipation so clearly, I'll definitely bring my kids there if they want a spin around the track!

T was now begging to go on Dumbo. As typical the line was an hour long. But who can dissapoint a 4 yr old princess? Uncle D and L agreed to go so off we went to Dumbo. The rest of the gang ended up at Mickey's Philharmonic. I have to say that one of my favorite parts of WDW is chatting with strangers in line. Sure enough T made another little friend to play with as we waited and I ended up chatting with her grandma who was there with her whole extended family. While we were waiting I had a "duh" moment. I realized that I had forgotten my Verizon cell phone had Mobile Magic as an app! For those of you who don't know about this, it is an application you can download that will tell you wait times and fast pass return times for all the rides. I found out it even tells you where you are! So all the FL rides had long wait times. But I found that over in Adventureland the ride times were only 20-30 min!
After Dumbo we enjoyed a quick ride on Cindella's Carousel. You can see Uncle D and G, L and T at the back of the castle in this picture. Look at all the crowds behind them! It was a crowded day!
