Vaccine- Autism link proven to be a FRAUD!

Notice as soon as people started calling her on anything she "took her ball and went home"QUOTE]

LOLOL um no I went to bed!! Did you not notice I said good night? I just realized it's not worth fighting with people on a message board. You aren't going to agree with me and I'm not going to agree with you. Like I said - let's all go on believing and thinking what we want. Why keep fighting? There is no point. And honestly I have much more to do in my life. I'm not a person with posts in the thousands. In 5 years I have less than 900. So again - I am so glad to see other points of view and am glad to have mine. If you feel like I'm running away - LOL I don't care. I went to bed last night bc it was late.

And as for the mercury thing - look up mercury in children. And there are plenty of studies that show and prove the effects. I'm not going 100 rounds with someone that doesn't want to hear it. I know tons of kids that were in the studies - and I didn't bother quoting the source bc I copied and pasted. I didn't make it up. LOL seriously, this is a MESSAGE BOARD HAHA!! Again - I am not bothering bc we aren't going to agree! I am fine with that. Why can't you just let it go? Think what you want, and so will I. All is good in the world.... Back to work!

2. Just becuase someone says something doesn't make it true. I notice you don't give a source for your quote. Who said that? Whoever it was is either misinformed or purposely being deceptive. Mercury posioning in extremely late stages where the person is near death can peresnt in the way described here, but it would have been a progression over several months of chonic exposure to doses many times that present in a vaccine, or an acute exposure to a massive amount of mercury. The amount of mercury found in a vaccine does NOT have the ability to produce these kinds of symptoms. It is simply untrue. I know this because I worked in a lab that hosed large amounts of mercury, and we were all educated yearly on mercury posioning, how to spot the symptoms, threshold limits, and what to do if exposed.

I assumed she copied and pasted, so I googled a quote from what she posted. It seems to have come from a site called buzzle.com, and there is no indication on there of where the information originally came from. No studies or academic journals were cited. It appears to be no more than an opinion piece made up of "facts" that the author can't support. Not exactly a reputable source!

I know, that is why I said she took her ball and went home. I was being figurative not literal. she can't site studies because there aren't any backing up her claims. As soon as you call them on it (like the global warming fanatics) they run away. Their claims are all based on hearsay and emotions.

I totally understand if you have a child with a problem you want to find something to blame it on, however in life as humans sometimes it is just a flaw in our formation and isn't an outside cause. We aren't machines we are pieces of art and sometimes in that wondrous formation miracle something doesn't go right.

haha You girls are funny! I love how you "know" why I do something. I have tons of information but that would take me scanning it. And to be honest - I don't actually care about your opinions that much bc I know what I know is fact. If you really want to think those mercury symptoms are made up - go right ahead. You girls are like dogs with bones!!! Call a doctor and ask them. But of course they will be probably be an emotional dr. that doesn't know what he's talking about.

And to the person that sent me an email to my personal email - WOW. Grow up!!! Maybe this thread needs to be closed bc obviously people just don't want to listen to "let's agree to disagree". I am so thankful for my knowledge and the fact that I can walk away from something. So continue to quote me all you want. And I will delete any more nasty emails I get from immature people!

You are both right. So much about this topic is so emotionally charged, and whil i understand and sympathize with that emotion, it does cause many to loose thier objectivity completely. Also, you won't find any real scientific studies proving what she is claiming because they don't exist. I don't doubt there were studies done, but by people who already knew waht they wanted to prove and were trying to manipulate the data to support thier claims, like the original study that started this thread.

you cannot have it both ways, either agree to disagree and stop saying "but I am right, and I have all these facts, but I'm not going to share them" or continue to argue. Up to you, but make up your mind. I choose to continue the discussion in a civil manner.

If it is legitimate actual scientific research it is published. Why would you have to scan it? Just cite a source and we can go look ourselves.
If you can't then you don't have it or it isn't legitimate.

Mercury hasn't been used in vaccines since 2001. If that was the cause of autism in many children, then why haven't the number of autism cases decreased since 2001? On the contrary, they have been increasing.

If there is a correlation between vaccines and Autism, a study should be able to prove that. I have more confidence in actual scientific studies than in the observations of people who are looking for answers and may be too emotional about their own situation to be able to see things clearly. As cold as it may sound, emotion has no place in science.

There has never been a large scale study comparing non vaccinated children to vaccinated children.

When vaccines are put through trials today they are compared to "placebo" which in fact contains all the preservatives and/or adjuvants that are contained within the vaccine...without the actual antibodies.

There are many theories that the reactions to vaccines come from the preservatives and adjuvants, not the antibodies.

SO... when you read the information about a vaccine and it states that the reactions to the vaccine were similar to that of placebo that doesn't really say much, does it?

There needs to be a large scale study comparing vaccinated children to those that are not vaccinated in order to start seeing what is and isn't causing these reactions.

Correlation studies will NOT dismiss the vaccine/autism debate (which is the only kind of study done thus far)...a full out study is the only way to figure it out, until the study happens there will continue to be those parents that don't agree that the risk of the vaccine is less than the risk of the disease.

Mercury is still in most flu vaccines (some of the shots don't have it, and the nasal mist doesn't have it), as well as some adult vaccines.

Other vaccines that say they are mercury free still sometime contain traces of it because it is used in the manufacturing of the vaccine and then removed. It can't be fully removed so the traces remain.

I know 2 children who are autistic (lost verbal ability around the age of 2, flapping hands, to eye contact, etc.) who were never vaccinated.

I don't know the answer. You don't know the answer. One day we'll have an answer. Until then let's all try to get along. Churros for everyone!

This does not change my mind about vaccinations. I was against vaccinations before I even heard of this guy or this study! I am sorry but there are more reasons not to vaccinate other than out of fear of autism. Autism is the last of my concerns.

My thoughts exactly... :rolleyes1

Easy to say when you know your children are protected by herd immunity. Take them to an epidemic of measles or polio when all the other children are not vaccinated and then say that. I hardly believe you would stand by and let your children catch polio, or small pox when you could prevent it easily.

It's really sad how many people are just clueless about the devastation a disease like measles can cause. Beyond death, there's blindness.

Hopefully, we won't all have to find out the hard way why researchers worked so hard to try to eradicate these diseases with vaccines (and NO, it wasn't for the money.)

I think its strange when polio and small pox are referenced when both were on a very steady decline long before the vaccine came out. When the vaccine was introduced, both diseases actually had a increase in deaths before the continuing decline. A major increase in living condition and health care (not vaccines, but treatments for the symptoms from the illness) were happening over those years.
Also many people believe that polio still exists, just is named different things when diagnosed. (just to throw that out there but that I haven't really researched to extent) Ok... Bring on the comments :scared1::littleangel:

Um, the only polio in the U.S since 1960 was CREATED by the vaccine... that out of the mouth of the inventor of it...

I have a theory, and it is just my theory, but could that decline possibly have to do with awarness of the diseases, and what put one at risk for exposure, and could those increases not be the result of people slacking off in vigilance when the vaccine program began? There is a definitive test for polio, so no it is likely NOT still around and misdiagnosed.

I still would like an answer from those who choose not to vaccinate to the central question here. If we were in the middle of a polio epidemic in this country,an ther was no herd immunity to protect your children, would you still choose not to vaccinate your child? I ask because based on what i know of biochemistry and modern medical technology, this is a definite possibility if all parents began refusing vaccinations. I would really like to know where you stand.
