We are planning a last minute trip June 28 - July 5 (we don't plan to visit the parks - but we might do a day at Legoland). I found a good deal on a 2 bedroom at VV and called the resort to ask about the A/B and A/C units and was told the A/C units are in the newer buildings. I was told to request an A/C unit 2 weeks before check in and that they try their hardest to honor requests.

I read that all units do not have washers and dryers but was told that they do when I called.

It will be me, DH and DS5 in the A unit and my sister, mom and DN6 in the B or C unit.

How bad are the B units? What are the best buildings (to request)? How is the WIFI (my sister will have a few conference calls so this is important)? There are some not so great reviews on Tripadvisor - do you recommend this resort or should I look for something else that might cost more?

Any other tips or suggestions you have for the resort are appreciated.

We have stayed at Vacation Village for the past 3 years. We really like it there! The location is great. We stayed in buildings 16 and 17, in a 2 bedroom (not sure if it was AB or AC) If you can get a room on the upper floors facing the pool, you will be able to see fireworks at night (bonus!) We had laundry in both suites (so 2 washers and dryers!)

We have always found it to be clean and quiet. There is a bit of noise that comes from the pool area, but its definitely tolerable. Occasionally there is noise from the unit above (chairs scraping across the floor) but again, tolerable. Our family loved the extra space and the fact that we had an extra bathroom (coming from staying onsite, this was luxurious!!) My kids loved the fact that there were 4 tvs in the unit - so no fighting over who was watching what! The kitchens had pretty much anything that you needed (although I always take or buy a non-stick frying pan because I don't have the best of luck with non non-stick!) and I believe if there was anything you were missing, they were able to get it for you.

The Wifi is pretty good - only issue is you have to log on each day but they give you a card with the password on it so it's not that big of an issue...you just have to remember to do it!

HTH!
