Hey guys, I was just accepted as a Vacation Planner for Spring 2010! I've done the CP before (QSFB) but don't know much about this role. Has anyone done it before?

Also, I have applied for a few PIs. I didn't want to accept the CP until I heard back about those. Does anyone know if there is a problem if you accept the CP and then want to take the PI instead if it is offered?

They are very flexible with moving you into a PI role even if you accept the CP first.

The core responsibility of Vacation Planning Cast Members is to sell Theme Park and Attraction tickets at the Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom Park, as well as at the entrances of Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

With the Magic Your Way Ticket Program, our Guests have an opportunity like never before to customise their Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park and Attraction tickets to meet their needs. Vacation Planners play a key role in this, using a combination of Legendary Guest Service and their vast knowledge of the Walt Disney World Resort and it's offerings to help our Guests pick out the right ticket for them from over 128 different choices. Strong Computer Skills, and a knowledge of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office is a plus in this role.

Vacation Planning Cast Members are responsible for handling large amounts of US Currency, and should be comfortable with that aspect of their role.

There is a Performance Monitoring System in place for this role, and Cast Members are expected to meet Monthly Sales Goals and Minimum Sales Requirements. There is also an incentive programme, by which Cast Members who exceed expectations may be rewarded (I've heard of prizes ranging from Resort Stays to a PS3).

To a certain extent, a "Hard Sell" is used in this position, and Cast Members should be willing to work under extreme pressure and in the face of Guest Opposition.

Cast Members in this role should be willing to work outdoors, and at certain parks, may be deployed to work Parade Audience Control.

This is also a C&IP Global Position. Full Time and Casual Regular/Casual Temporary Cast Members are generally statused to one park, but College & International Program Vacation Planning Cast Members may be deployed to several parks, potentially all four in one week, depending on Business Needs.
