Vacation homes close to Universal?

Hi,
We have always done Disney in the past, but now we are planning a family trip to Florida and there will be 11 of us total, 6 adults and 5 children. We are planning on doing Universal and SeaWorld with maybe only one day at Disney.
Most rentals I've been looking boast being located closer to Disney. Is there an area that would be closer to Universal or is there really not that many miles from Disney to Universal?

I would love a list of some rental resorts to check into.

Hi,

I'm really not sure of any villa rental resorts near Universal. You have the likes of Floridays condos near to Seaworld but they are a maximum 3 bedroom.

Maybe try some of the resorts on the east side of the 192 in Kissimmee to see if they are any closer. That's were we are and it is about 15mins or so from Seaworld and about 20-25 from Universal.

I don't think you'll find vacation home rentals close to Universal because it is in Orange County which doesn't allow short term rentals. Kissimmee is in Osceola County which does allow st rentals. That's why there's so many down that way. The closest subdivision would be Indian Wells near the Lake Buena Vista area.
If I'm wrong about this someone can correct me but I'm sure I've read this from past threads.
