I would love for DH and I to have romantic evening here , but he does not eat anything with root veg (turnip, squash etc, ) or nuts in it. Could we still do this ?

I'm sure it won't be a problem! The Disney chefs are very accomedating when it comes to food allergies and dislikes. There are others here who can fill you in on the exact process of how to go about speaking to the chef preparing your meal.

Your husband won't go hungry!

The week of your visit the staff from V&A will call you to confirm the spellings of your names and if there is a special reason for coming (birthday, anniversary etc). While they are talking to you, they will ask about any allergies. Tell them you would like to speak to the chef. They will arrange a time for you to speak to them.

Honstly, the nuts issue is very very easy for them to handle.

The "root" veggies, are normally a VERY small part of the dining experience, so they could easily switch them out for something else.

Hope you enjoy your dinner!

For the record, squash is not a root vegetable!

My daughter has food allergies and when I made my reservations through Disney I asked about that issue and they told me to let them know ahead of time and then I would speak to the Chef where we are eating to make sure accomodations are made. My friend went recently and they were very good about working with her son.
