UY Question

Hi,

I still needs some help understanding UY and ressie cancellation consequences.

Say I make a reservation (11 months out) for last week of November and use 100 banked points, 100 current UY points, and 100 borrowed UY points.

I discover I have to cancel in September or October and do so. What options do I have to use the points above if my UY is one of the following:
1) September
2) January

Here's the simplistic version:

With a September use year, your scenario would mean you could bank those current use year points or use them for another reservation that takes place up until August 31, of the following year. The "banked and borrowed" points would still have to be used by the following August 31. With the January use year, you would need to use those current use year points for another reservation right away or lose them, and the "banked and borrowed" points would expire on December 31.

Remember that banking and borrowing are not reversible transactions. Only current use year points can be banked.

Please note there is no such thing as a January Use Year.

There are no January, May, July, or November Use Years.
