We just passed our UY is June, is it the end of January that we can look at other resorts? I had a chart but I can't find it.

Ok, I have it now, it was really confusing me. So my daughter wants to go during Halloween, providing availability, she can look at other resorts. Thank you, I was counting 7 months from June.

UY is when you get your yearly allocation of points. You can book your home resort 11 months before check in date, and 7 months before any other resort. You do not need points in your 'bucket' when you make the reservation, only that you will have them by the time you check in. So you could book now for an October trip, even though you will/may not have points until June.

Where UY matters most is your BANKING window. With a June UY, you must bank by January 31, or the points will expire May 31.

Just remember BANKING and BORROWING can NOT be undone.

If you want to book Oct 2017, you could book as soon as March 2017 for nonhome resorts.

Since Oct 2017 falls into your June 2017 UY, you can book with banked 2016 UY pts plus current 2017 UY pts plus borrowed 2018 UY pts (if needed).

Thanks again, our contract comes with 270 points , and 2 points from 2016 left. Ok so I can use those for October, this is wonderful , my daughter wants to go Halloween and would like to stay at GF, I've already warned her it may not be available , but at least she has some other resort options.

I'd have my dream resort to try and resesrve but also be realistically planning on SSR or perhaps AKV-Kidani or OKW.
