The Uva Bar is our favorite place for lunch when the weather's nice, especially when we want a martini with lunch. Usually the service is very fast, while I find most of the in park restaurants a bit on the slow side, so the time it takes to walk to downtown disney is usually made up during lunch. The kids love the monorail, so we usually take that back to the park. I do have to add the caveat that it seemed like there was some new staff the last time we went (a couple of weeks ago) and the service was a bit slower than usual.
Besides the full bar, we really like the food as well. Sometimes we order a few of the small bar apps and share (calamari and the super spicy flatbread are our favs from the small plates), and sometimes we order the full plates. I like their regular burger, the lamb burger, the mussels, and manchego cheese salad. I also like that they're willing to substitute the side dishes, e.g. exchanging a side salad for the fries. I think the plates are large, and we usually end up taking a left over box if we don't split plates.
They have a pretty decent kids menu with more substantial options like flank steak and grilled chicken, along with standard things like a hot dog or mac and cheese, and the kids also like to get the meatballs from the appetizer list with a side of pita. The french fries are the skinny type and yummy. I have in my notes that we didn't like the rib sliders or the pasta, though I have no memory of what we exactly we didn't like about those dishes.
They serve the same menu at inisde at Catal, but we ate inside once and didn't enjoy it nearly as much. They have such a nice little spot there in downtown disney so we'll pretty much only go when the weather's right for outdoor eating.
ETA: I don't know about the disney gift cards. They do give an AP discount.
