I just went bathing suit shopping for our upcoming WDW trip in October. This is the first time we will be hitting the water parks.

OMG!!!!!!!

I cannot believe how much weight I have gained in the last year. Just recently I have noticed that my back and knees have been hurting and I'm sure it's from all the extra weight.

How exactly does the WISH board work? I would like to get back in shape for our October trip both so I won't be embarassed being seen in a bathing suit and so I will be in better shape walking around and keeping up with my two year old son. I have done WW in the past and lost about 20 pounds before I got pregnant with my son. I am starting that plan again but can't afford to go to meeting right now while we are saving for our trip.

Any WISH board members who will be there October 25 - November 2?
 
Hello and welcome to WISH!

There are some threads "stuck" at the top of the board. One gives you the instructions on how to add a WISH clipart to your signature, the other is the one you "sign up" on, that way Katholyn (nativetxn) can add you to our WISH roster! :)

Then all you need to do is stick around here! We have a weekly weigh in thread that Jiminy (Holly) starts every Sunday. No matter what day of the week you weigh in, you can post your update to that thread. It usually moves around on the WISH page alot, but for the most part it's on Page 1 quite a bit because different WISHers post their weight loss results throughout the week.

We also have a "did you exercise" thread that Daisy starts (Bliss4us) and that is a great motivator to start or keep exercising.

You can read the different posts to see what programs people are on.

Ask for advice, don't be shy, join in to offer support or post about a celebration you are having (new clippie change, fitting into old clothes, walking your first mile, etc.) I find that participating as much as I can helps me stay focused!

The good news is...you came to the right place. I've only been here a few days. Already I'm walking again and have tried a few new lo-carb recipes (if you do lo-carb, try the MOCK DANISH-on the recipe thread-it is wonderful!)

More importantly...remember you'll have a great visit in Oct no matter what. And the rest of us who just came home and have to wait another year are J-E-A-L-O-U-S !!! ;)

there is a WISHer plan thread started by nativetxn that lists who has joined WISH and what plan they are doing - there are several of us doing WW on our own! WELCOME!!:cool:

Another helpful hint is to put your plan in your signature so that when you post asking for ideas and suggestions then we'll know what plan your own to answer accordingly!

I strongly suggest getting PM buddy - I don't know if jiminy102 is still matching people up, if not just post a thread asking if anyone wants to be your buddy? who wouldn't! Then you become accountable to someone and that has helped my tremendously! There have been many a mornings that I didn't want to get out of bed and workout, or tempted to give into those nasty cravings and just the thought of reporting that to my PM buddies was enough to keep me in line! Of course when I do fall off the wagon they catch me and throw me back on!

Just started on WISH myself and love it.

You have plenty of time to loose weight and look better for your trip. No worries.
Enjoy your trip and make fun memories with your baby.

When it was decided that my DH and I would go to WDW with OhMom and her family - I made the commitment that I did not want to be the "fat lady" in the pictures. So - I am about half the way to being to goal and still am in shock that I - yes- me- has finally been able to lose some weight.

The support on this board is just awesome and a PM buddy is another way to solidify that accountability.

There are several WW's on the board who don't go to meetings but follow the program. There are some sites that are useful, PM either me or OhMom and we can send you those sites if you need them.

Good luck and so glad that you found us. We always like having more "losers" hanging around here !
