USS Midway - worth if for brief visit?

Hi

We're looking at heading down to Coronado from Anaheim and we probably won't get to the area until about 11-12am (couple of stops on route). We COULD get there a bit earlier if necessary but that's the current plan.

We actually want to go to Coronado and see the Del, etc but...would it be worth stopping for an hour or two about the USS Midway. I know we could spend all day there but we don't have all day SO...is it worth it or a waste of time? Ie should we go or just take photos from the harbour?

If you have never been on an aircraft carrier it is worth the admission. The volunteers there are all retired vets and have great stories and the aircraft on deck is very unique. I enjoyed it, but my friend that was with me had never toured one before and she was blown away!

Make sure to take time to eat in Old Town before you head out as well!

If you can give it 2 hours, totally worth it. Anything less and you'd miss quite a bunch.
