USPS Mail Holding

Did you know that you can set up a hold of your mail online now? I didn't until tonight. I was pleasantly surprised to find out and it was totally painless to set up too. Just thought I would share. Just go to the main page of the usps.com site and click on the HOME tab at the top. The link is near the bottom of the page. Maggie

I did it for the first time last year and used it again for our trip this year, I love doing this online, very quick and painless and noone has to take the mail in for us everyday!

Thanks for the info!! I just went to the post office today and picked up a card to fill out, but I like the idea of doing it on line sooo much better. Its so much easier

Yea, while I was filling out the form a cpl weeks ago, the post office worker informed me

You still probably want to have someone check your mailbox unless it's a locked one because I do this all the time (put it on hold with the USPS using the online form) when I travel and will find mail in there that was delivered when it wasn't supposed to be! Doh!
