Using UBER from a Good Neighbour Hotel (GNH) to DLR and DCA where is the drop off and pick up Zone?

Hi Guys!

I haven´t found any useful Videos or images and such for where UBER can drop you off at Disneyland CA and DCA only through my research so far it seems the Zone is somewhere next to the pedestrian Sign entrance were you have to walk forward til the Security Area to get to the Plaza were you can decide to visit DL or DCA???

But where would a UBER drop you off there, are they really only able to drop you off at those Area and will it be than the same Area to pick up and what about that not longer than 20min. or what it is how long they could take or was it even shorter???

And is it really problematic to getting a CAR will the WLAN from the Parks even still be connected at those pickup Area to even getting to order a Car????

And what are those Zone numbers only for the ART or the Shuttles when you walk by to getting per foot to the Parks from the Harbor Blvd. Street Entrance????

And will we getting soon Packages for 2025 like last year it was more likely end of August but some thinking it could be earlier this year that Disney releasing them.

And for hotel guests are the entry exits from the DCA Park for both Hotels be open way after the park closes to get back to the Hotels???.

And would be the DTD pickup zone really be less frequently for UBER but isn´t it more complicated since it is on the opposite of parking garage and could be problematic issue with maybe homeless lurking around the parking areas???

Will there be both entry/exits from DTD for DL HOTEL and GCH and PPH also be open after parks and DTD closed to use the walking area for hotel guests from the Disneyland Park to get back at the onsite hotels???.

I use Uber all the time when I miss CCI shuttle. Never had trouble connecting but not using Disney Wi-Fi either.

Pickup/dropoffarea is directly adjacent to the Harbor entrance to the parks. You’ll see lots of cabs, Ubers, people dropping off CMs…can’t miss it. Cars can only enter one way, I believe they must be heading south on Harbor in order to turn in the area
( @LKing, correct me if I’m wrong). It is easiest during the busy times to wait at the beginning of the turn in point to watch for your driver…by busy, I mean like closing time…it’s a zoo. BEWARE…during busy times like closing, some over drivers will try to make you meet across the street or somewhere else as they don’t want to hassle with pulling into pickup area. I have had that happen twice…just cancel ride and book a different one.

Yes, the numbers you see to the right are where all the shuttles and buses pick up. ART has specific ones, each hotel that provides a shuttle has a designated number.

Does this help? Can’t help you with hotel access as I never stay onsite.

I UBER to the IHOP across the street and use the crosswalk! MUCH EASIER!

Now THAT is the best idea I've heard for a while. We've done Ubers tons of times and are usually coming from a hotel South down Harbor. Which means the Uber has to go North past the dropoff a ways and then do a U-turn at a light to go back to be able to enter it, plus sometimes you have to wait for the dropoff area to clear a bit. All of which can add five or ten minutes if you hit the lights wrong. But if they will drop you at iHop that would make it way quicker and easier.

I wouldn’t recommend it out of courtesy to the businesses on that side of Harbor. The IHOP has a sign specifically about not using that area for rideshare dropoffs.

Ah, rats. Should have known that would be the case. Thanks for the heads-up. Guess you just have to do the u-turn loop after all if coming from that direction.

Pretty much all those hotels/businesses on the opposite side of street have signs saying “no rideshares” or wording to that effect. One night when it was really jammed and the line to turn in was past the crosswalk…I just texted the driver that I’d meet on Harbor just past the turn in driveway. I was there watching and waiting, worked out perfect.

If you Google "Disneyland Drop Off" it has an address of 1567 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802. There are 525 Google reviews with photos. :car:

Another option is to be dropped off at Downtown Disney. From PlanDisney: https://plandisney.disney.go.com/qu...g-dropped-off-pay-parking-dropped-off-547533/

To be dropped off for Downtown Disney District take Magic Way from Disneyland Drive. You'll turn left at Downtown Drive and simply follow the signs to the drop-off area. When it comes time to be picked up, be aware that if your driver is waiting in this area, it's free until after 15 minutes when standard parking rates will then apply.

If you'd prefer to be dropped off or picked up by the Main Entrance, you'll be using Harbor Boulevard. The drop-off area is on the right southbound lane of South Harbor Boulevard located between South Manchester Avenue and Disney Way. Again, while briefly waiting in this area is allowed, parking is not, so you'll want to time your pickup so your driver isn't waiting for too long or they'll have to move.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Are you talking about Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structure? If so, I have never seen homeless in that area. What do you mean that it is more complicated because it is "on the opposite of parking garage"?

I believe DTD security opens one hour before the earliest park entry and closes one hour after the latest closing.

LKing, I knew you’d get this all figured out! YOU’RE THE BEST!

Yep, I do it to avoid them having to do the u-turn and every UBER driver I've ever had has been VERY thankful! Saves them time and hassle and saves us money!

I don't do it super often since we usually stay at Desert Inn and Suites across the street, but if I have to, I do. We don't pull all the way in, they just kind of drop us at the entrance along the sidewalk so it doesn't impede the business at all either! Works perfectly!

I'm still curious what "GNH" is. At first I thought it might be a typo for "GCH," but obviously one wouldn't need an Uber to get to the parks from that hotel!

I originally asked the same thing and then figured it out. I think it stands for Good Neighbor Hotel.

common Guys you are funny GNH GOOD NEIGHBOUR HOTELS duh the offsite Hotels Across the Street or the Convention Center Area or the Garden Grove Area are known as the Good Neighbour Hotels that co-operating co working with Disney if they negotiating positively with Disney and the short form is GNH. :earboy2:

Obvious but it is still a kinda long walk even from there or the PPH Pixar Place Hotel that you almost would need a UBER :rotfl2::earboy2: at least if you want to the OG Park you have to get through DTD Downtown Disney first to get to the Plaza.

It is not an initialism commonly used on the DLR board, duh.

okay interesting I thought since there are only 3 onsite that are hard to get most are used to getting GNHotels or booking non participating Hotels as well but yeah it may are more common under the WDW Community even when it is kinda easier getting a On-site Hotel there.

Sorry I am just worried that my Agent wouldn´t get a Room for the PPH the best option for me since I just have to walk to the on-site guest entrances besides it is a longer walk getting to the Plaza wildly to have access than to both parks but at least having some entrance to DCA even when some suggesting that it would be better sometimes to use the entrance from the GCH and their Grizzly Peak Entry maybe when the early magic half hour happens there.

And with the not so easy situation with getting there and back with UBER it makes things not easy if I have to stay in some of the other hotels if the PPH Pixar Place Hotel really wouldn´t been able for my agent to get a room than I have to have alternatives since many people staying offsite that makes it not that easy getting a UBER if so many wanting the same and when it is dark and if the internet connection from the parks wouldn´t work there at that place anymore what would be also a bummer since without it how to call a UBER.

I thought GNH would be clear but okay for some or most here the rather writting about Good Neighbour Hotels instead of using the easier shortage form but okay my bad I hope People at least are used to it with GCH PPH and DLH at least or will that be also something not so common???

Do people rather love writting always Grand Californian Hotel Resort and Spa or Pixar Place Hotel or Disneyland Hotel or Downtown Disney I mean common. But again Sorry I just thought people would be used to shortages that are usually common sense but okay maybe the WDW community is more used to such initialism or terminology since I am more of a WDW Guy and will have my first time in DL CA I am not so common with all of what it is behind and such getting around in WDW is easier at least often mostly except of MK there is better with Minnie Van or regular Transportations.

But I am happy for some help even when I am still not sure were the Pickup drop off at Harbor would be since what I´ve seen in some YT Video it seems they drove by passing the entrance and some area further is were they get into the so called loop but than were do people go it was confusing and like I wrote unsure how insane it would be at the end of the night after the parks closed and with wifi connection from the parks if they would still been available or if that area is too far away for connection than how to even been able to get a connection to get a ride.

That´s why I depend on onsite more likely few weeks ago there were amazing offers for the DLHotel with even Standard View Duo Studio Room or a Deluxe Standard View Room that was pricey but at least more affordable than before the only problem is to getting a good room since some of those rooms having that crappy white wall safes but some than have the much better safe that usually most Hotels offer like in WDW with POP and so on many of the better hotels also have those.

Yeah the PPH has a strange one like a drawer pull Safe Version but still at least better than this stupid white wall safes I can´t use those crappy ones were you only can put things vertically diagonally arrg pooh doooh like Watto from Star Wars would say. Kinda shameful they couldn´t have those better safes in all those hotelrooms.

But I consider the PPH being much better even when the DLH has so much flair and now 4 towers of great Disney touched themes but even with their new gate access to DTD also a nice walk through DTD before you would be at the Plaza to enter one of the Parks.

But have to see how it will go but I kinda understand not happy but understand why those Across the Street strange Hotels may wouldn´t allow Rideshares since you are Across the street and for some just have to walk that pedestrian way up to the crossings to the Disney Sign and than forward the way til security area than walking to the plaza turning left and getting inbetween the Parks and entering one of those both.

For some it seems faster shorter than from the onsite of GCH and PPH since those have to walk through DTD first before getting to the Plaza coming from the left side when those Harbor Blvd Guests coming from the right side being closer to the Parks.

Anyways :love2::thumbsup2thanks for trying to help me out thankfully have plenty times figuring out things but not so much for which Hotel I would stay since it will be coming sooner than later wondering if they release the new packages for 2025 before or after the D23 Expo.

Btw whoever can be there in few weeks enjoy the times and hopefully being able to visit the main Panels at the Honda Center Friday with the Movies and Disney+ Entertainment Panel and mostly important on Sat with the Parks Panel that hopefully would be streamed somehow globally as well officially or unofficially by some great fans like before.
