Using TS for QS

I just spoke to Edith at Disney Reservations. Our booking is currently free dining for September. After doing a heap of maths and only having one sit down meal in the time I thought it was best to change to QS for how we eat. Disney reservations told me I could use Table Service for Quick Service without any issues.

For anyone that has done that have you had any problems doing so? Will the QS people take the TS credit without questioning?

I've only heard of that happening sometimes, not all the time (and I can't remember if it was TS to CS specifically). More frequently reported is using left over credits (not sure if CS or TS) for snacks, especially in the resorts.

It might or might not work, I wouldn't necessarily count on it.

When we went last Dec our son got really sick and we had to skip many of our TS meals. We spoke to the front desk at the resort and asked the same question. We would have no problem converting them at the Food Court of the resort. But most of the CS places in the Parks are not able to do it in terms of their system. Because of our circumstances they told us to use the QS credit and they would make the adjustment for us back at our resort.
So I wouldn't count on being able to do so in the Parks. HTH!

We've done it on multiple trips no problems no questions asked.

While reservations may have said there would be no issues, people have reported that the food courts at the resorts have been more likely to do this, but again, not always. Ask the cashier when you first enter the food court.

The parks are less likely because their computers may not be able to process the transaction.

One thing in your favor, some people have said that in the past they were more willing to do this during FD.

We did it in '08 with no problems anywhere. But, as a PP said, we ate a lot of our meals at POP(CS) so we may not have been able to do it at a CS in the parks.

Thanks everyone. Based on the $$, I've decided to keep the free dining and perhaps they will accept TS as CS. As long as we can based on avg prices they only need to accept 1/2 the time for us to come out in front.

We've been able to do this many times during the last 3 years, when we've gone during free dining. We have only done this at our resort (ASMo food court, Pop, Contemporary,) however we've been in line behind ppl. that I've seen do it at Cosmic Rays and Peco's Bills at MK. We plan to do it again this Sept. We've also been able to trade 1 CS for 3 snacks.
