Is this possible? I read on another board that this is allowed. Has anyone done it? I just don't think my DH and I will have time to eat at a TS everyday.:wave2:

I seen it posted on the top in the news info, trade a TS for Cs plus two extra snack credits or a pin or something..

can you only convert your credits at your resort?

can you do it at a restaurant or guest services?

I desperately want to know if you can do this.

We had the dining plan in September and wasted SO much time at TS meals, we would have been a million times better to have all CS meals!

On the Resort Information Channel (The one that has park hours, recreation information, etc.), there was a screen stating that you could use a Table Service Credit for a Counter Service and receive two extra snacks, OR a pin. (Was just at POP from 9-13/9-19)

I don't know the details on whether you had to go to the resort desk, or just handle it at a CS cash register.

I did this last week. I asked the CM at Pecos Bill's if they did the TS to CS trade and she said yes. You trade the TS meal for a counter service meal plus a card good for 2 snacks (to be redeemed at the same time) or a pin and lanyard set. There are several locations in the parks and at the resorts listed as lanyard redemption locations. I redeemed the card at the gift shop in CSR for a standard blue lanyard with a Chip and Dale pin - they had these under the counter and I didn't get a choice. I used 1 child TS and received the kid combo meal and a drink. It was painfree and the TS credit would have went to waste otherwise.

We were there 9/4-9/15. We exchanged TS for CS on two different occasions. Once in AK (at Pizzafari sp?) and one at the food court at POP.

Both times, my kids chose to get the pin and lanyard and my hubby and I got the extra 2 snacks. You got a voucher at the register. Easy as pie! The voucher did have an expiration date of Sept. 28 or 29

Is this only during free dining though? We will be there Jan. 26 - Feb. 3.

I believe that it is only guaranteed during free DDP. I have heard that some people are able to have the TS converted at the hotel to CS but it is not guaranteed. Also consider if you would be better off just paying OOP for your meals instead of paying for the plan if you only want a couple of TS meals.

You can always choose 2TS meals, fewer formal meals and usually awesome food too!

Buffets can be quicker meals, once seated they only take as long as you decide to graze! Something like The Plaza in MK, TS credit for a CS like meal in the heart of the park. Likely quicker than some sit down meals and if MK is where you're spending your time that day, great location.

Finally, if you don't value TS meals I'd skip the DP, free or not, it may not be for you. We enjoyed having the mixture and will do it again.
