Using someone else's magic band for fast pass

I assume I can switch magic bands with my family member's to use their fast passes, but I have a question about that. What if they have not entered the park yet that day? Does that somehow render the fast pass unusable?

If you use FP on a band not used for entry that day, you run a risk of having that MDE account locked.

It's been confirmed that Disney is flagging specific MDE Profiles if linked FPs were used when a linked ticket had not been used for park entry.

Disney is flagging Profiles, without commenting in your MDE account, and when you reach a certain number of days of abusing the FP system, the individual Profiles are locked. Locked means the Guest is blocked from using the Ticket entitlement for any valid functions.

Yes don't try to enter a fastpass queue with a magic band that has not been used to enter the park that day.

However, if a family member has pre-booked fast passes on their account which they are not going to use, you can transfer them over to your own account. You do this after you have used up your own three pre-booked fastpasses for the day using the 'Change Party' feature in MDE.
