Using snack credits for hot food items; can anyone verify this lately as working?

I have read through the confirmed snacks thread.

I was specifically interested in such items as soups, chili, french fries, egg rolls, ham and cheese croissant at Epcot in France and so forth. I'm specifically interested in the parks, not resorts.

Going in winter just makes me feel this might be a good idea to do as you travel through the parks.

I just don't want to stand in long lines if you can't get these items as snack credits especially at the QS restaurants like Sunshine Seasons and so forth. I think there was a time the parks where a little loose on how they handled snack credits and I just think they are now tightening up their belts on it.

Does anyone know if these hot food items have the DP snack logo on them when you look at the different menus in the park? or is this more like ask and see?

I feel I might be safe on french fries and eggrolls at the places listed, but what about the rest? Is it hit and miss?

Several of these things are clearly marked as snacks on the menu boards so you don't have to wonder. EasyWDW.com has a lot of menu board pics that you can browse by park(http://www.easywdw.com/category/menus-and-seating/), but aside from the ham & cheese croissant everything you list is pretty commonly accepted as snacks. I've read mixed reports about that sandwich, though.

That's a great site for menus. I verified most of what I wanted to know there. I'm glad they have some hot item choices for snacks.

The Ham and Cheese Croissant sandwich IS a snack credit. We were just there and I went into the bakery for a Napoleon and saw the sandwich for a snack credit. And they are very big too. Not a tiny little Croissant.

I didn't see any soup or chili for a snack credit but I know in Epcot you can get Fried rice for a snack credit. Not sure about an egg roll.

I'm glad to get the sandwich verified as a snack credit. I'm definitely going to get one with a dessert, too.

Good to know. :) I'd read yes and no on that one but never got around to trying it myself. Maybe next trip...

Chili is (was? I don't even see a side of chili on the current menu board on EasyWDW so I have no idea if it is still an option, snack or otherwise) a snack at Casey's. My son really liked that option - one snack for fries, one snack for chili, and instant late night snack when we were in the park until midnight.
