Using Points in Disneyland

Hey everyone,
We're planning a trip to Disneyland in June and plan on using our points for the trip. Has anyone ever done this before that could offer some advice? We're thinking about staying in Concierge at either the DL Hotel or Paradise Pier. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Any info woule be appreciated. Thanks!!

We stayed at the Grand Californian (not conceirge) on our last trip to DL. It was a beautiful hotel and the special entrance into California Adventure was great. My DS loved Pinocchio's Workshop ( the kids club).

We are returning to DL next month and are going to try the Disneyland Hotel this time. I have heard good things about the DLH.

I think wyou will enjoy either choice.

We are stying at the GC in January on points. We wanted to stay in Concierge but could not rationalize the extral 200 points. We are staying 1/9-1/18 and it is costing us 401 points. It may seem like a lot but we will be there to see my sister and we felt we already paid for our points why pay for another hotel room. We have a DTD view and will try to get an upgrade when we get there. DL is alot different from WDW, we can't buy our tickets yet because they are not available.

We have stayed at the Grand Californian twice, once DD view, once DCA view. The DD view gave us a spectacular view of the DL fireworks from our room. We did both trips on cash.

The hotel is on the level of AKL or WL. The architecture and theming are first rate.
