Using points for Disney Cruise-are point charts numbers per person or per stateroom?

We just booked 3 family cabins on the dream for our family. To use points would have been over 2,400 points (cat 4A). We only used 1255 points to rent out (they were all rented out within 2 weeks). also each cabin gets $175.00+ of ship board credit.
so by renting we saved over 1100 points and allowed 10 different families to enjoy DVC and possibly become members.
I don’t think I will ever do a point exchange again for the cruise. The exchange is horrible
But hey that is just me doing me, you do you and what works best for your situation. Either way we all get to cruise😁
Who did you use to rent the points and is that where you got the $175 OBC?

hi,
I used David’s Vacation Club Rentals and yes that is where I got the credit.
Have used them many times but this is first time for a cruise and very happy with the whole process

Thank you. I've used another agency that was very easy to work with but they did not give OBC. How much per point (my last ones were $14)?

we got 16-18 per point depending on which resort points we rented.
not sure how they figure how much onboard credit because it was different for each cruise.

You can call them, or go to their website, and they will be more than happy to explain everything to you, they are very helpful and respond very quickly. I had them change my rooms on both cruises with no charge from them just the difference in cabin price.

Basically take the cash price one DCL website and divide by 16 and that is how many points you put in the rental que.

They have travel agents that can get you on some other cruise lines and Adventures by Disney by renting your points through them.

hope this helps

So you used the SWAP your points for them to book your cruise. I've looked at Dave's and wondered how that works when changes need to be made. Now I understand the system. Thank you.
