Using Points for Disney Collection Question

We used a lot of points (190) for a trade into a Disney collection room (Yacht Club)..I know...waste of points but we had to burn some points.

Anyway, the question I had was, I got my DVC confirmation about 2 weeks ago, but will a get a separate confirmation from Disney resorts?

I have the Contemporary booked for april and have only received a confirmation from DVC.I think that's all we get.

I am no expert but we did the same thing and we will be staying at the AKL. I have my DVC generated confirm but none from the actual resort. DVC said thats how it was. All requests etc I put through DVC ( and I called the resort on the QT and double checked my ressies)

We only got the DVC paper before our recent AKL stay, we only the DVC paper for our stay at the Plaza also. We did get something for the Plaza'a kid's club, but nothing official with a confirmation.

There have been reports over the years of people showing up for the exchanges and not being in the system. It was discussed here recently (within the last 2 weeks or so) and I know of several instances over the years. Just make sure you take your written confirmation with you. Apparently the problem is that the computes aren't always on speaking terms.
