Using points for Atlantis While on DCL?

We have a Disney Cruise booked for next year. I've read about booking a day room at Atlantis during Nassau stop and was wondering if we could book 1 night at Atlantis using our points?

I think spending a day at Atlantis and getting to check out the pools and amenities for a port call would be way to see if our family would like to use points there in the future.

Is there anything that would prevent us from booking 1 night at Atlantis on Points if we dont plan to stay overnight? We have never traded out before so Im not up to speed.

I have not seen a point chart but generally unless you have points to burn or really need to use I do not think this would be a good use of points. I know that you can get a day room at the Comfort Suites that allows you use of the Atlantis pools, slides etc. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Comfort Suites to Atlantis.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for us) my in-laws gifted the Comfort Suites in Paradise Island to us so I do not know the cost but the cost I think was about $168 including taxes (US dollars) so again points may be cheaper.

I would recommend calling the hotel direct as opposed to the main web site for Choice Hotels as they could not seem to differentiate between a day room and a 1 night stay (maybe there is no difference). I do not know if Atlantis offers a day rate or what a 1 night stay would be in terms of comparable costs.
