We have five two-day Park Hopper tickets that cannot be upgraded. My family includes myself, DH and DS4. We have gone to Disney annually for the last five years. Usually we all go. Last year we took some other family members.

This year it will just be myself and DS4. We will be in Disney late August/early September and arriving at the airport on a Saturday at around 11:00 a.m. and leaving the following Saturday on a 6:00 p.m. flight. We are staying at WL. My question is, should DS4 and myself each use 2 of our two-day tickets for our trip? We have six full days in Disney plus two partial days. Do you think four days is enough in the parks?

We got a Magical Vacation package, and we could get discounted tickets along with our room, which would include a free extra of either one of the water parks or Disney Quest. If we do that, I would probably get at least five-day tickets. Then we could save our free tickets for another time.

I guess my bottom line question is, do you think we will have enough to do on our days off and what can we do during our down time? I'm thinking we can spend time at the pool, go to Downtown Disney, maybe spend some time at the Boardwalk. I have read about a Chip and Dale Sing-A-Long at Fort Wilderness. Maybe we could do a Fireworks cruise. Any other ideas?

Yes use the tickets you already have. Four days in the parks is plenty. On the off days go to the pool. Your child is only 4 and a pool is more than enough. You can ride boats , play mini golf , watch a movie, campfire with chip and dale , character meal, ride the monorail, downtown Disney, pool games, and I'm sure there is more.

No. Days past the first 5 are only around $13. You get the most value if you use these on shorter trips.

That said, since you say they cannot be upgraded, that would require you to buy entirely new tickets for this trip.

It's a shame you can't go a couple weeks later and supplement with a some days at the Halloween party.

I would probably keep the tickets for another trip entirely, but link them to a separate MDE account. You could then have access to 3 additional pre-scheduled FPs each day. (Currently tickets do not have to be scanned at the gate to access FP, although that can change at any time).

Yes. I was thinking of waiting to use them on a shorter trip and just buying the tickets. Five-day tickets would be just over $700 for the two of us, plus we would get the extra bonus of Disney Quest or one of the water parks. The Magical offer doesn't extend to the Halloween party dates. That is what we really wanted to do. Maybe we can save them for next year and do that then.
