Okay...I have a question. Say I book a one night reservation package with a one day ticket. I am told my ticket is on my room card. Can I just not use the ticket in the scanner at WDW, save the room card, and use the "ticket" at a later date? Thanks in advance!

Shamelessly bumping... I know some of you DIS experts HAVE to know the answer to this. Please help your clueless friend... :confused3

Yes, if you never put the card in a ticket machine at a park it will be good until you do decide to use it. The tickets are good until first used.

As already confirmed as long as the ticket has NEVER gone through the turnstile it's good forever. You can keep it on your Key to the World card or you can go to guest relations and have it taken off of your card and put on a paper ticket (your KTTW card won't have mention of a park ticket on it). A word of warning on this - if you attempt to do it before your last day you will be told you have to rebook your package (per 3 CMs at Epcot guest relations). So wait till your last day. On that last day before you do this make sure you have used all of your dining credits (if applicable) or you will lose them when the card is stripped (per CM at Down Town Disney who failed to tell me this as he stripped 2 out of 3 cards). We had 4 snack credits and a counter service left and caught this fact before he stripped the third card. So we used our credits and never made it back to GR to have the ticket taken off. I just used a sharpie & wrote on the back of the card. This particular CM also insisted on keeping the KTTW cards instead of giving them back, a bit dissapointing to me as I was going to put them in a scrapbook and they were stripped so I'm not sure what purpose 'I have to keep them' served.

I was just there 9/4-9/10 and had a one-day ticket on my room reservation in order to get free dining. I went to Downtown Disney on 9/4 (before using any meal credits) and had the park ticket removed from the KTTW card. I didn't want to accidently put that card in the ticket reader because I have an Annual Pass. I did not have the problems mentioned by the previous poster. I did, however, need to re-magnetize my card at one point and the CM questioned why the one-day ticket had "disappeared" from my ticket and wanted to be sure that I wanted it that way. I assured him that I did and I was on my way with a newly magnetized room/key card.

I had to buy a one day ticket last year for the free dining. I saved it and used it towards the price of my AP when it came time to renew.

I knew it....you all are a treasure trove of information! Thanks so much! :cheer2:
