Ok I am a little confused by this....If you havent booked your vacation but want to go to the Luau....How do you handle this....The Luau is paid at the time you make the reservation but if you havent booked you package yet how do you use the dining plan to pay for the Luau...Do pay up front then get it reimbursed or what???...I want to go ahead and book the Luau but havent made final decision on my resort and everything else.....Help please...Also same thing for the Hoop Dee Doo...It can be booked 2 years in advace but you havent booked a package 2 years in advance how does this get handled???

Sorry! Re-read your post, and realized I don't have the answer to your question! Sorry- I'm sure someone will know!

No problem....Let me ask is the post worded bad...I wasnt sure how to ask the question...I knew what I was wanting to ask but not sure how to ask it....

I'm a little confused (but it's really late, er..early), but I have a maybe similar case that will help you. When we booked our CRT breakfast a couple of years ago (the deposit had just started being required) we also had meal vouchers that we intended to use for the cost. We still had to pre-pay the deposit on our credit card at the time of our booking, but when we arrived that morning they reduced the amount charged back to our credit card for a full refund and took our vouchers. It was a little pain that we had to pay for something, but I didn't see any other way. I kept all credit card bills and reciepts until all was settled and it was fine. Good luck and have a great trip.

I could be wrong but I just reserved my seating at the luau and they told me that my credit card was to hold my seats and when I get there it will be deducted off of my plan hope this helps :bounce:

You may want to check on this, but I went to the Luau last year and they needed my credit card number to reserve our tickets, however it was not charged. I actually picked the tickets up at Guest Services at our resort, and was able to pay in cash, not the credit card. I believe they only need the credit card, just in case you are a no-show, then you will be charged. I would call and make sure that if you pay at Guest Services, they will take the dining card. You may be able to wait until you get to the Poly to pay, I'm just not for sure.

By the way- I read a bunch of mixed reviews last year about the Luau, but DH and myselft enjoyed it. Yes, the show was a little cheesy, but we thought the food was great. If you are not staying at the Poly, and can make the 5:00 show, do that. We went to the 8:00 show, which ended close to ten, and because there were so many people waiting for the buses, we had to wait until the third bus came to take us back to DD. A bus from DD back to our resort came quickly, however since it was so late, traffic was awful. I don't think we got back to the room till almost 1:00 in the morning.
I was exhausted.

Hope this helps :)

I just booked the Luau last week for use with the MYW Dining. They take your CC number, but they don't charge it unless you are a no-show. They have a 48 hour cancelation policy.
