Using my Disney Reward card ....

I was thinking of just using my rewards for food. I'll have about 550.00 by
time we go next month !
But, I had heard that you can use your reward card towards your room charges when you check out ? We're staying at CBR.
That would probably be easier, in case I forget to use my rewards card after a meal.
I can use my room key for all my charges at WDW, correct ?
Then i can apply my rewards, and then the rest towards my Visa when we check out.
Would that work ?

I'm pretty sure that's what I did.

My room and everything was paid for so the only thing on my "room charge" was the stuff I actually bought while there. Tips, souveniers, etc.

I'm pretty sure I used my rewards card to pay down the balance and then put the rest on the Visa. I hope someone else chimes in though because I'm having a bit of a hard time remembering.

I belive the general rule of thumb is any place that would accept a Disney gift card will accept a Reward Card too.

To avoid an unpleasant surprise, just double check when you check into your room. The CM should be able to confirm that you can use the rewards card on checkout.

During our trip in 2008, I used my rewards card as the room charge, then used the kttw card everywhere. I had read that there were a few places that did not accept the rewards card (can't remember who didn't accept it - maybe some counter service or DTD), but the kttw card was accepted everywhere. It was great, we only used the rewards card - didn't spend any cash or have to charge anything on the credit card.

YUP! And you can go to guest services mid stay and just Pay as you go too...so no surprises AND check that bill, for possible errors! Have a great time! LOVE that reward $$.....great, relaxed way....just pull out that KTTW and then pay it off

Yes you can use your rewards card to pay room charges. I usually go the night before checkout and pay off the balance of my room charges with my Rewards card so it doesn't get automatically charged to my Visa I left as a guarantee at check-in.
