Using MIL's pin code

So, my mil received two pins in the mail recently. (Here I am trying to sign up for stuff, etc. and she just gets two in the mail.)

I know that they are attached to addresses/emails, and all of that. But if she were to make our reservation or if I were to make it using her name, would they allow it? A ressie for us...she would not be coming.

Please, no flames, just trying to figure out how it all works.

I'm pretty sure you would need her ID when checking in as everything would need to be in her name.

I'm not sure how to do that any other way and still keep the discount.

They would need to book their own room only one night stay for you to use the pin. My mil also had a pin and we booked a five night stay with it but they had to come and stay in their own room for 1 of those 5 days for it to be valid.

Not unless she comes with you. She'd have to be present as the primary name on the reservation. Yes, they'll ask for ID.

I would think that if you read the fine print for the PIN offers it should specify that the person named in the offer must be the one present when using the reservation. It most likely states clearly what you CAN'T do.

I booked a tour with a discount and it said I had to be present on the tour to receive the discount.

Okay. Thanks. I thought since it was the same last name, it might not be so complicated. I'm guessing that parents sometimes give vacations as gifts and all of that, so Disney must see that once in a while.

Frustrating isn't it? At least you aren't getting them in your email w/ someone else's name on them. That keeps happening to me and I can't seem to stop it. Disney says they will stop it but I've heard that for 6 months now...........

Keep trying you never know when you will get one, I got one before Christmas and have been trying for about 7 years.
