Using ME coming from canada

This is my first time staying on site and using ME.Just wondering how it works when leaving from canada-what happens when you have to go through customs?Do you have to pickup your bags?Just wondering if someone could give me a step by step guide of how the whole process works?Thanks!

We used it last year when we arrived, but since we had done our immigration at the Halifax airport, there weren't any issues with that (but we did have to pick up our own bags since we were arriving after 10 pm)

The only snag for us is on departure -- we can't do resort airline check in since that only applies to domestic flights. So when we used ME to leave yesterday we had to take our bags on the bus with us and check them ourselves at the airport.

Another question-we arrive around 8 but i am thinking of just picking up own bags and loading them onto bus with us as we hope to get an early start to the nite as we hope to rise early in the am-so i guess i should not use the tags at all leaving?

you don't need to pick up your bags but if you want to keep them with you, you just don't put the yellow tags on. When my DH went down last week, he connected in Montreal but he didn't see his bag after he checked in in Halifax until it got to our room.

I was disappointed we still couldn't do resort check in but the ME bus got us to the airport in plenty of time to check them in ourselves.

I always put my yellow tags on before going through Customs in Halifax (actually I do this at home) ... it is your only chance.

I leave for the airport in less than 2 weeks and will do the same again.

If you clear United States Customs in Canada then that means when your flight lands in Orlando it will be treated like any other domestic flight arriving within in the United States. So should you choose to put the yellow tags on your bags and have them delivered to your resort, that means when you get off the plane you can go right to the Magical Express check-in.
