Using DVC points for DCL cruise - any chance of a stateroom upgrade??

We're looking at a four night cruise for next spring break. Since it's holiday season/rates, I'm aiming low on the stateroom category (8 or 9), mostly because of the total amount of points I'll need.

I do know that DCL does do stateroom upgrades periodically. I'm not counting on it, but I'd love for that to happen ... unless booking a cruise with DVC points precludes that?

Anyone have any experience with this??

I not sure on the upgrades,go inside stateroom less points,and your only in your room for a small amount of time.If you are going with kids pay cash for them.thats all I know hope that helps.

It does NOT appear to be policy that DVC members staying on points will not be upgraded. I know it's happened. This may be better served on the DCL board.
