Using DP & Paying OOP at CS

I've seen a lot of threads about paying OOP and using DP at TS, but how does this work at CS? Do you need to separate the items? Do the cashiers ask?

Since our toddler won't have any credits, we may be ordering some side items for him. Many of the menus that I have looked at list these side items as snack options as well, but I am not wanting to use a snack credit on a $2 order of breadsticks. How can I ensure that this doesn't happen?

I'm pretty sure you will do 2 separate transactions if you use your DDP and pay OOP at the same time. When we have used CS and SC at the same time at CS locations they've had to ring it up separately. When we have done this at TS we've been given separate checks for credits and OOP (and adult beverages too)

Thanks. Sounds like it will be pretty easy to pay however we would like. I was concerned about the cashiers ringing everything up and taking credits that we didn't want to use.
