Using DME with a SoG overflow reservation

After nearly an hour on the phone, I finally got the information about what is needed in order for us to use Magical Express with a Shades of Green overflow reservation. What a mess!!

First, I called CRO, and gave them the reservation number THEY issued for the overflow reservation. They said that they couldn't even see it, because it was originated at SoG. They said I would need to call SoG in order to book DME.

So, I called SoG, passed on what CRO had told me, and SoG told me that they can't book DME, that I have to go through CRO, since DME is a Disney service, and since Disney issued the room reservation number.

I called CRO back, and they checked with Guest Services, and they told me to call DME directly. I did that, and I was then told that they don't take the reservations over the phone, but only from CRO.

I called CRO back again, and they sent me to another number which turned out to be the Disney group tour office. :confused3

Finally, a great CM there put me on hold for some time, and came back to tell me that I need to call SoG back, because they are supposed to fax me a form that I will then fax to the DME office, who will then book DME for me.

Anyway, if you have a reservation that you made through SoG, don't let them tell you that there is nothing they can do vis a vis DME. It took two different reps at SoG before they faxed me the form, and I've faxed it on to DME.
 
I'm glad I read this. I went to DisneysMagicalExpress.com to make my DME ressie. Guess I need to SoG to get the form faxed to me. Oh crap, I won't have a fax until 2 weeks before my trip. Think that's enough time?

If you entered it on-line, you should be able to call 1-866-599-0951 (DME) and ask if they have your info. They told me today that they can check it when you are within 45 days of arrival. I would give them a buzz, and if they don't have it, I happen to know for a fact that someone else will be there at the same time as you (and has access to a fax machine). This person will be happy to fax the info for you... :goodvibes
 
I called them, they have all my information. I feel better now. Thanks for the offer. I was gonna ask you if you could do it for me if I needed you to. :)
 

You know, CRO gave me some confusion too with my SoG overflow reservation but in the end, she took the info. However, I'm 13 days from departure and got to say, there isn't anything in my mailbox about DME.

So I just went to the website and entered the info, and tomorrow I'm going to check again. Because this just can't be good. :confused3
