Using Disney Visa Reward credit

We have a Disney Chase Visa card that we use for anything we can pay via credit. We earn a very nice amount each year and use them for dining on our trips. Does anyone have any experience using the reward cards in DLP? Can we use them to buy food, souvenirs, etc.

Don't think the rewards cards can be redeemed due to different currency. You will be able to use your credit card for purchases though

DH called last night and they are not usable. Bummer.
I wonder if I can buy tix stateside with them. I'll try anyway. But we want AP so likely not.

We tried when we first moved here and found nothing other than our regular credit cards worked. No rewards, no DVC discount, etc. It is disney by name but not WDW as we know it.

Parks outside the US are not 100% owned by the Walt Disney Company so not everything that applies to US parks is true for DLP or TDR. Gift cards for example, are completely separate between US and EU and the Chase rewards are sort of gift cards?
Good choice to get an AP, it's a great value if you want to stay multiple days.
