DH & I will be on-board the Magic in a few weeks. We plan to re-book a place holder while on-board as the rest of our family already has place holders waiting for the latter part of 2017 to open up. Will we be able to use a Disney gift card to pay our deposit while on-board? We have always just had them charge our credit card on file in the past. I would like to use a gift card this time. Will that be possible?

Yes! We have done this. It is easier to combine multiple cards in advance than to have multiple cards. You can do this online or on the ship.

Hey, that's a thought! Could I could go ahead & do an online payment to my account to cover the deposit or should I do that on-board?

Last I heard, you can't use your onboard account in order to book your onboard booking (which is silly, in my opinion) so you'll need to carry a gift card with you. The previous poster was saying that you can use the Disney Gift Card website to combine all your smaller cards into one card, then you're only carrying one gift card with you (up to $1000 per card can be combined).

I have already combined everything into one card & plan to take on-board with us. I'll just check with the rebooking desk once on-board.
