I was wondering about where these can be used in the park. I was thinking about getting my niece some, so she could by her own treats like churros or popcorn. I was wondering if they can be used at the snack carts.
Thanks

Disney dollars should be able to be used anywhere in the parks, including outdoor vendors. Treat it like you would cash.

Unfortunately, not all ODVs are equipped to handle gift card purchases, so you might want to check with them before making a purchase.

DDollars, yes! Giftcards, it depends on the cart and if they can take cards of any kind. If you're only getting them for those snack type things, I'd use the Dollars.

I like budgeting myself with giftcards (instead of swiping debit card each time, swipe gift card!), but this time I'm getting some Dollars, so I can snag a Mickey bar from a cart without worrying that they don't take cards. And yes, I could use regular dollars, but for me it works better this way!

We've actually gotten in the habit of changing our gift cards to DD. That way my hubby & I can each have some in our wallets to use. Rather than trying to remember what is left on a specific gift card. "I bought something that was 3.45, so that leaves...." Even though they give you a reciept with the balance on it, it is just easier for us to look and say - Oh I have 3 $1 left.

When we were there last year, I don't remember being able to use the cards at the carts.
