Using Dining Plan credits to pay for friends

I'm sure it's been posted from time to time but I only found a couple of threads touching on this issue. We have a couple of meals where I'd like to pay for others with out Deluxe Plan Credits and I was wondering what the recent experience was in this arena. I know they removed the requirement that made it against the printed rules about 1.5 years ago.

All recent reports are that there is no problem doing this at all.

Still no problem. We bought my parents and grandma thanksgiving dinner a couple of weeks ago. When I asked the server she was like oh yeah, they're your credits you can do whatever you want with them! This was at GFC. We also did this at RFC, Akershus, coral reef and Garden grill back in February.

Thanks, I knew this was the answer last year including that Disney sent a memo to the restaurant but sometimes things change. I didn't want to create any avoidable tense moments for us or a server.
