Using DDP while at the Fort?

Can you still be on the DDP if you are camping at the Fort? I'm thinking of changing our ressie and renting a pop-up but we'll be flying in so I don't want to cook/bring much food except breakfast items and some drinks. Can you still use it the same way as if you are staying at a resort?

Yes, you can purchase the DDP the same as the other resorts, but just remember...when Disney offers free dining it is only for the cabins not campsites.

We have never been able to justify the expense and just eating that much food on a daily basis takes too much time from the parks. For us, one of the biggest benefits of camping(we have a 5th wheel) is saving money on food-even if it is a bowl of cereal, a hot dog on the grill or sandwiches! Quick and easy for us is better and the money we save we use on a few character meals and LOTS of souvenir's!

Oh yeah, I guess the savings will now go into our gas tank!

If I were flying in and renting a camper, then I might do things differently. I think you can order groceries from somewhere and they will deliver them to the Fort. You can find more info on here about that, just do a search.
