We are considering going over to CSR on our first evening to check out the resort and eat dinner at Pepper Market.

If you have eaten at Pepper Market using a CS credit, what did you get (and what were you allowed to get?) What would you recommend?

I ate there 4 x- we were staying at CSR

You could get any entree and a drink & specific deserts. I.e. the rib eye & fries meal, The chicken caesar salad, pizza, pasta, chinese combo of the day. Anything that is an "entree" whether it's $6.00 or $18.95.

Be careful w/the extras not on the meal plan. fruit cups, tier 3 desserts, when in doubt ask. The staff is now well versed in what's allowed/not.

My mother in law ended up paying $6.00 over for about 1/3 of the food I received because she was ala carte-ing instead of getting whole entrees.

Food was great - enjoy.

Thanks!

I think we will really try and make it over (unless we are totally exhausted from our flight/ME/check-in!)

Are the eateries at CSR included in DDP ?
I cant find it mentioned on the disney website as taking part in DDP.

Yes, the PM is included in the DDP for 2006 AND 2007.

Few Items from the menu when we visited in April. Desserts pictured not included in DDP.

Thanks!! :sunny:

My DH ordered the rib eye steak which he claimed was better than the one he had at a TS restaurant. My DD had the tuna steak, which was very good as well. My DS and I had chicken fajita which was good but I thought the grill station was better. The portions were huge. The only restrictions were on the desserts, which was not a problem for us. We picked croissant rolls and chocolate chip cookies and had them wrapped to go. We were also able to order cappacino as a drink.

We had steaks several times at PM and they were delicious. We found the PM to be the absolute best value for a CS at DW. They had the most choices of any CS that we found as well, including Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Steaks. To us this is the best kept secret at DW!

We had 2 different steak meals with fries (baked potato is an option at dinner time but not lunch when we went) and the kids shared a kids spaghetti meal with fruit and cookie. Got the kids a yogurt for desert and rice krispi treats for us to go. We were FULL. I had a steak sandwhich and was full without the bread...it was a full cut of steak not a thin puny one you often see on a sandwhich. Many fries were left since we usually dont eat them unless someone hasnt had enough. Deserts were more limited when we went.

$11.99 for the small one
$19.95 for the large one

We stayed at the CSR last week, or is it two weeks ago now? LOL. DH and I split the steak one day, served with mashed potatoes and vegetables...pretty good. The cheeseburger and fries were also very good. What I would not recommend was the breakfast...yuck...one day had the breakfast platter ...awful, another day had the breakfast skillet (I think that's what it was)...worse, even my husband didn't like it. I got a bagel with cream cheese and ewww...the bagels were terrible IMO.

PepperMarket--IMHO is never consistent. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes just ok and sometimes downright inedible. I have had experiences run the gamut. I never make a special trip--we have DVC so if we are pool hopping we'll grab a bite here, but otherwise it is too risky to "waste time"

is the breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill (13.95 for adults) considered a counter service or a TS, or niether ?

cheers

Maya Grill is a TS restaurant. Unless you have leftover TS credits the morning you're leaving I wouldn't use DDP to pay for it.

We stayed at Coronado Springs last week and tried the Pepper Market once for breakfast using CS credits. It was not good. First of all, it was extremely confusing to figure out where to get things, what was on the DDP, etc. A small cup of red grapes was an additional $3. Our "waiter" was busy chitchatting and didn't even look at us until I walked over and requested that he at least get us drinks. (Since he gets 10% regardless he had very little motivation.)

Worst of all was the food -- cold scrambled eggs, cold biscuits, cold poor quality bacon and just all around inedible. The "big breakfast" at McDonald's is 100% better.

So, we never went back -- didn't want to risk another meal there.

Thanks so much Buzz. I did do a search however it didn't provide an answer. I know that POR and All Sta have removed them from thier stores according to allears.net.

Thanks again.
