Well, I never thought I would say this but my DH now has an AP!! :cool1: He didn't want the premium like we have, so we got him the SO Cal Select pass.

We have decided to go to DL just the two of us, but it will be on a blackout day... I know that when you go on a blockout day there is a $40.00 charge, but since his first day in the park will be a blockout day what do you do? :confused3

I am guessing that I need to take him to the ticket booth and pay the $40.00 then after we are in the park take him to the AP center for his picture? Is this correct?

Any advise would be GREATLY appreciated :goodvibes

Who would have thought that my non-disney hubby would finally be transformed.. :lovestruc

Thanks!

From everything I heard he can activate his pass on a blackout day and get in, not needing to pay the extra $40.

If he needs to activate his Annual Pass, he can go in on any day even if it is a black out date. I heard it straight from the mouse's mouth (ok, Disney Store manager and good friend)

No need to purchase a black out pass if he is activating his pass on a black out day. This I know from experience, we got Prem. AP's last year, our first day of use was a Saturday, we took our vouchers and got in, went to the bank and got our AP's.

Are you allowed to leave and come back in on that same day? Or once your in do you have to stay? We are planning on getting our Ap's the Sat we arrive. That is a black out day for us too.

You'll still be able to leave, and come back in. You bought admission for that day (Saturday). If you're concerned about it, verify it with the CM when you get your AP, or wait to get them until you're ready to go home (allowing time for processing as the line can get long towards the end of the day)

You can come and go and hop to your hearts content. :)

:thanks: Thanks guys!!! I am happy that he can take his ap voucher and walk right thru the gates... (And to save 40 bucs doesn't hurt either) :disrocks:
