Using Annual Passholder turnstile line at parks?

We have been Passholders in the past and bought them for everyone in our family. One perk of being a Passholder is the dedicated Passholders Only line to get into the parks. We are kicking around the idea of only one member of our family buying an Annual Pass if and when they are offered again. We would do this to still get room, souvenir, and food discounts even if the rest of the family would have regular tickets. But would the non Passholders members of the family be able to use the Passholders Only line at the turnstiles if they are with one Passholder? Or does each person the uses that line need to be a Passholder themselves? Thanks, and Merry Christmas
My experience is from last year. We had no problems bringing my DD and her BF with us into the AP line. We asked the first time and was told it was allowed so we would sandwich them between us through the tap style. That being said, I agree with the others that the AP only line is rarely worth it.

We have had to show our AP cards several times. I always have it out for that reason.

My son and I (both AP holders) and my boyfriend (not an AP holder) went through the AP entrance at AK a few days ago and all went through without issue. I've never been asked to show my card in an AP entrance line.

The places I have to show my card are at restaurants and gift shops where I want to get the AP discount, and when entering a theme park parking lot as a non-resort guest, to qualify for free parking.

One solution is to go in the normal line if everyone doesn't have an AP. That way you can stay together.

The whole point of the AP line is to be a perk for AP holders. If non AP holders go through the AP line, you are slowing down the AP line.

I’ve been able to bring my nephew (5) with me through the AP line even when he didn’t have one. The rest of us did and the CM didn’t bat an eye.

This is probably why the AP line isn't as short as it should be.
We use our annual pass for the month of January and every other year or so in the fall around Halloween and the Wine and Food festival. We have never found long AP lines. When you stay three weeks plus in January (except this winter :( ) the AP is the way to go.

the AP line is really relying on the "honor code" they expect the people that use it to be APholders. They won't turn anyone away if after scanning they see you are not an APholder.
Most people will head there and when they see the symbol they use another tapstile which is why it tends to be shorter most of the time

Most people don’t read the sign and just get in line where they see other people. I’ve never seen them turn anybody away for not having an annual pass.
Agree - I’ve never seen CMs ask or verify nor have I ever had to show my AP in order to go thru the Passholder entrance...

We've only had them verify once. It was a super busy Saturday at Epcot and entrance lines were looooooong. We got in AP line, as it was the shortest that day, and a CM was walking the line verifying AP cards. She sent many, many parties to other lines. I honestly think people just jumped in a line and didn't pay any attention.

They are not usually the shortest, esp since it's often just 2 tapstiles on the opposite side of where we are, so we don't go there often.
