Using an Uber gift card on the app?

Was thinking about getting a $100 Uber gift card and add it to my account. I have never done such before so I thought I would ask you guys. Is it seemless to do? Any advantages or disadvantages of doing such? Can you tip on the app with the gift card? Thanks.

Well I think I can get a $100 for around $90 first, and then I will use the entire amount at Disney, no doubt. I just thought it might be convenient? Can one be used for the tip?

Advantage I assume you're getting the card at a discount.

I generally check Uber and Lyft. Committing to Uber may result in paying more or waiting longer. I wouldn't do it for a 10% savinga.

Also, if you are using Lyft and the driver is on a Lyft promotion, you are really tipping Lyft...NOT the driver. Lyft counts tips toward promotions. They're kinda cute that way.
