User Name Change Request...

I'm not entirely sure how to message the admin., but I would really like to be able to change my username. Me and my wife were married this past summer, and we would like to use the same disboards account....unfortunately, "RyanBSU" doesn't really work well for both of us.

Do you think there's any chance we could get this changed to something that would fit both of us?

How should I go about requesting this?

Thanks! I felt like maybe it was a silly question; but it really would save us the hassle of making two separate accounts (which we probably wouldn't do; instead I would be the only one utilizing the boards). I want her to get into it, and I think she would be more inclined to if we shared a username If that makes sense?

Admins rarely...if ever...change usernames once the account has been set up. You would need to start another account with the username you want.

Admins do not change a username at all for these boards. As Metro said, you will need to just start a new account. You will have to clear all your DIS cookies and sign up with a different email address.

Bummer. I've had this account for 6 years now; wasn't really wanting to make a new one. Oh well...

You could always add your wife's name to the area under yours (custom user title). So it could say

RyanBSU
and Suzy too

(of course insert your wife's name instead of Suzy!)

Haha, not quite the same. But, good idea. I don't know. I'm a little disheartened about it now, since I can't just change the name.
