Use your iPhone or Apple Watch in place of a Magic Band

No this ins't news or a rumor. I just started this right now.

After seeing today's Apple Watch announcement I wondered if there is a further use for it - being able to use it in place of a Magic Band?

That lead to further musing, why couldn't your newish (6 or 6+) iPhone also do the same job?

Could Disney modify their system so that holding the phone or watch up to the mickey-head reader, perhaps with your finger on the iPhone's sensor work not only for charging but for park admission and FP+?

This was discussed when they first announced the apple watch so I could see it as a possibility. Apple and Disney seem to have a good partnership.
 
Well they do except Apple pay which can be accessed on the phone (though we have found that the chance of it working is spotty at best") so most likely it could happen after more development
