Use Year

I agree. If you ever thought you’d want to go for Thanksgiving, then October is a decent one too.

If you think you want to go in late January and cross over into February get December UY as booking reservations that cross UYs can be tricky because you would need to use points from 2 different UYs. Otherwise February is good or even an October UY would work.

I would say Sept. UY and later is good for Feb. travel dates. You have to cancel 31+ days anyways to avoid holding points, so as long as Jan is well before the 4 months banking deadline, Sept. - Feb. UY would work.

Are you traveling in February for the next 20/30/40 years?

I think UY is more about aligning to when you won't travel than when you will. I will never travel in February or March and thus April makes sense since we might go summers or fall or winter at times. Even though the first couple years we are traveling mostly January but now with point chart changes for summer likely will go more in the summer coming up.

We usually travel in Feb but my husband will NEVER go to FL in the summer due to heat/humidity, so we bought a resale with Sept Use Year. Although, now that we own it, I have been struck with the dread addonitis, and found that Sept UY contracts are pretty few and far between. If you are thinking of buying multiple resales, maybe get Dec because it's very easy to find.
