Just been watching the band Creed's video for their song "My Sacrifice", a sort of post apocraplytical world, flooded and high winds etc.
You can see from the video it was shot at Uiniversals Studio, (as a trolley went through Mels Drive in window!)

Made me wonder how many other music videos have been shot within the Florida parks.

Just found it by the way on Youtube

The Carpenters filmed one of the their videos in Disneyland ..but it might have been Magic Kingdom?

muse - invincible, the video looks like "its a small world", if that counts

I just came across this thread whilst searching for something else. If you take the VIP Tour at Universal Studios, they talk about the Creed video shoot in some detail (or at least they did when we took it). There are quite a few stills on the walls of one of the production building, too. As you can imagine, it took some doing. Here's what the band had to say about it.

Day One: Orlando, FL 10/23/01

Mark Tremonti: "What's up ya'll? We're Creed and we're here at the Universal backlot shooting our first day of our new video for My Sacrifice."

Dave Meyers: "We uh are kind of doing this concept where an old man is reflecting and we go inside his mind and we see Scott as a younger Scott journeying through, looking for himself."

Herbert Maynard: "My name is Maynard and I play the older Scott."

Dave Meyers: "And uh he ends up finding his inner child."

Kellen Foruria: "My name is Kellen Foruria and I play the young Scott."

Dave Meyers: "Deep, deep stuff we're doing on this one ya know metaphorically."

Scott Stapp: "This scene is my first scene today uh basically uh the young man over there uh is going to be weathering the storm so to speak and I came out and he runs to greet me. So that's what the scene is."

Hello my friend we meet again, it's been awhile where should we begin..feels like forever. Within my heart are memories of perfect that you gave to me oh I remember..

Scott Stapp: "Cool man! MTV rules."

Dave Meyers: "Come on, see Mark's guitar solo."

Mark Tremonti: "In this next scene we get to sacrifice this beautiful guitar. It's going to explode the guitar, it's already sawed down almost all the way so when the explosion goes off the neck will break which is a darn shame.

Dave Meyers: "When the camera comes in this close and it's down low like that it's on your guitar, so if you bend it like that it's a straight angle."

"...to my eyes, my sacrifice, my sacrifice..."

Mark Tremonti: "The video so far has been pretty tedious um our first three videos were pretty tough to do and then it always seem like the weather is either really cold and we are always getting rained on or it's some kind of uncomfortable kind of setting."

"My sacrifice."

Mark Tremonti: "Was that nasty sewer water? Tastes kind of funny."

Dave Meyers: "So here we are about to shoot the big stunt where we throw a baby carriage through the window, uh all the tornadoes blowing around and when the baby carriage goes through the window that kind of symbolism stops the storm and Scott is able to re-unite with his inner child."

"Above all the others we'll fly, this brings tears to my eyes. My sacrifice."

Unknown: "Okay guys that's a wrap thank you very much."

Scott Stapp: "We're done with day one. We think we got a lot of good stuff, everyone's happy so we will see you tomorrow. Only on MTV. Rock on!"

Announcer: "Up next on Making the Video with Creed Scott makes new friends on the set."

Scott Stapp: "She's a beautiful girl. She's going to marry me one day and we're going to have 20 children."

Announcer: "But not everyone wants to play."

Unknown: "We're going to bring in a 500 pound tiger."

Scott Stapp: "The tiger really fixated on me."

Announcer: "Plus the world premier of My Sacrifice."

Day 2:Orlando, FL 10/24/01

Dave Meyers: "So here we are on day two in front of flooded Universal Studios. Stay tuned it's gonna be tough, but it's gonna be new and different and big."

Scott Phillips: "You guys can see they flooded an entire street here. From what I hear it's pretty nasty stuff so we will see how it goes."

Mark Tremonti: "It's pretty much a flooded city that we will be standing in all day long filming for this cool shot here."

Scott Phillips: "Here we go."

Scott Stapp: "Is it cold? It's awesome, wish I was in there."

Unknown: "Here we go, here we go flooded position."

Scott Phillips: "It's a very personal song to Scott and I think we all felt like the video should pretty much revolve around ya know his experiences and things like that so we're there as filler, we're backup. That's fine with me.

Mark Tremonti: "Hey what's up ya'll? I just finished today. Thank you for watching."

Scott Phillips: "We've got one more day left to shoot and Scott's going to shoot the rest of his stuff today and I'm gonna get out of here. I've had enough of this stuff. See you guys tomorrow."

Dave Meyers: "Alright there we are, we are in the middle of my new set for Creed's My Sacrifice day two. We flooded it down here, we are about to shoot Scott's first shot of the day where he's singing and kind of gliding along the water past weird things."

Scott Stapp: "This is my first shot of today. I'm in a flooded city street. I think they were trying to get some real close shots, some personal shots that tie into the lyrics of the song. Me and Dave were talking about like certain elements that we wanted in the water, for certain things. Dave mentioned the mailman and I'm like that's perfect. Catastrophes going on but the mail will always go forward and that's like the symbol of America and our perseverance. So it rocks!"

"We've seen our share of ups and downs, oh how quickly life can turn around in an instant. It feels so good to reunite. Within yourself and within your mind. Let's find peace there. When you are with me, I'm free..."

Scott Stapp: "I just hope the fans, ya know take away a feeling you know. I hope they can feel it inside just as much as I felt it inside and Mark felt it inside and Scott felt it inside when we wrote these songs. Because this isn't, this isn't pop, this isn't this isn't candy, ya know these are songs with meaning and feeling."

"My sacrifice."

Dave Meyers: "Cut and pull Scott out."

Scott Stapp: "And now we're moving on to the next shot. I'll be uh, I think my next shot is I'm getting wet."

Scott Stapp: "Basically, the next shot is kind of a trick shot. She's gonna be dry then she's gonna go under get wet and come back up dry. I guess um she's a good memory in my life um that's what it symbolizes. She's a beautiful girl. She's gonna marry me one day and we're gonna have 20 children. Live on a ranch."

Unknown: "Alright you want to try this?"

Scott Stapp: "I'm not an actor, I'm a singer."

Unknown: "Camera."

Unknown: "Okay folks that's a wrap see you tomorrow."

Dave Meyers: "That's a wrap. Day two done."

Scott Stapp: "Day two outta here. I love you."

Dave Meyers: "Don't quote that one. That was rock and roll love right there."

Scott Stapp: "He's always insecure about his manhood."

Dave Meyers: "A little, the ladies."

Day 3: Orlando, FL 10/25/01

Dave Meyers: "Right now we are setting up for our special shot where we have two Scotts in the same frame. We had to kinda have to cut and paste and put the two of them together.

Scott Stapp: "Basically, what's going to happen is uh I see myself in the water and I rescue myself out of the water so it's a body double."

Kristoffer Patasnik: "My name is Kristoffer Patasnick and I'm Scott's stand in slash double. I was brought in as the on site editor and apparently I have an uncanny resemblance of Scott from Creed which of course I've heard a thousand times. Every time I've gone out to clubs or dinner I'm always getting stopped by somebody at least once a night that tell me that so I was here on the set and apparently I was looking a little more like Scott than the double did and then hence they said me well do you mind and I said well of course I'd be honored."

Unknown: "Grab his hand and he's gonna help, he's gonna push on these stairs in there and he'll throw his body, he's gonna pull it back to there and he's gonna fall in. Here we go. On action you down Kris.and action."

Scott Stapp: "At the end of the day when you see the band on the screen but a lot of people don't realize you know all the extra people that made it all happen and the band really appreciates those people."

Unknown: "Cut it!"

Dave Meyers: "That was really nice."

Unknown: "Okay what we are going to do is now is bring in a 500 pound tiger. The tiger is gonna sit on that blue car there on the hood. He's gonna swim over to the car and Scott's going to go by in the boat. I'm going to stay over here by the edge though."

Jerry Kelley: "Hello my name is Jerry Kelley. I'll be handling the tiger for today's shoot. Normally tigers like water quite a bit and they are very good swimmers and this particular tiger he loves to swim."

Unknown: "Okay here we go let's roll camera. No, no hold on the tiger is getting very interested in Scott, just wait a second."

Unknown: "Stay, stay."

Unknown: "Do not scream or make any quick movements."

Announcer: "Up next on Making the Video with Creed things get wild on the set."

Scott Stapp: "If it's my time to go it's my time to go at least it will be on MTV."

Announcer: "And then it's time to get on the bus."

Mark Tremonti: "We're about to film in this bus and it's pretty much going to be a shot for the more calm part of this song."

Announcer: "Plus the world premier of My Sacrifice."

Unknown: "Do not scream or make any quick movements."

Unknown: "My wetsuit just got warmer."

Scott Stapp: "The tiger really fixated on me for some reason and they said to make sure I kept making eye contact and I was like thinking like maybe Pit Bulls and dogs and looking at him in the eye, but I did what they said so basically I figured ya know if it's my time to go, it's my time to go at least it will be on MTV and everyone will see it and I'll wrestle the tiger and it will be cool."

Unknown: "Okay Jerry let me know when you feel okay to do it. Alright here we go, pics up let's roll camera and action."

Unknown: Okay folks that's a wrap on the tiger."

Mark Tremonti: "Yeah we're about to film in this bus it's gonna be full of candles and red velvet and it's pretty much going to be a shot uh of the more calm part of the song."

Dave Meyers: "It's a very beautiful scene the scene I'm most looking forward to shooting."

"When you are with me I'm free, I'm careless, I believe. Above all the others we'll fly... this brings tears to my eyes. When you are with me.."

Unknown: "Cut it, cut it, cut it."

Scott Stapp: "That is a wrap! Thanks for hanging out with us let's thank MTV for everything and I hope you enjoy the video, so uh rock on man!"
